To be honest, I thought I could handle hearing what really happened at chemistry lap that day in high school from Eleanor herself, but after she told me I didn't know how to react to it because I'd be lying if I said I believe everything leaving her mouth, and the fact that she still burned Hanna's face remains even if she said it was just an accident. I tried not to react to it and just leave but her nonchalant attitude afterwards really put me off and I ended up lashing at her.
Her reaction was unexpected, Eleanor had been giving me the cold shoulder since we got married and she made me believe she feels nothing for me anymore, but seeing her cry after I refused to believe her words made me feel uncomfortable, I can't believe I become guilty immediately I saw those tears
