Giselle
I was looking after Erik and Christiaan in the office, while the other ladies were ogling the guys on the training grounds. It was times like these that I really had to step away for a second and take a breather. I was innocent Giselle, who loved cooking. If anyone ever knew who I really was, they would never accept me.
My mother and father warned me about the dangers of going out into the human world. I, of course, had to end up in the werewolf world. I smelled Megan the day I arrived for the interview. Ever since then, I have been careful to make sure to hide what I truly was.
Megan
I found it hard to concentrate on Anthony's training. Maybe working on the deck wasn’t such a good idea anymore.
“Fiona, pack business?” I tried to refocus.
“The arrangements for the Alpha and pack ceremonies next weekend are progressing really well. The kitchen ladies had finally agreed on a menu which held up everything.” Fiona chewed on her pen, but she didn’t take her eyes off the training grounds.
“Good, I would like to get this over with as soon as possible. A bit of drool there, Hun.” I pointed to her lips and Star also looked, breaking out in a fit of laughter.
“Refreshments to cool us off would do the trick,” Giselle said, as she went to the kitchen.
“I can’t help it! That perfect piece of wolf is my man, all mine!” Fiona growled and, to be honest, she had reason to be all hot and bothered. Her man was hot.
Giselle walked in with freshly made lemonade. “Drink and cool down, please. I’m still innocent and would like to keep it that way for another, oh, I don’t know, millennium.” We couldn’t stop giggling.
Giselle
I saw Leo stand up from his sit-ups and look at me. It didn’t matter how hard I tried; I couldn’t keep my eyes off the training grounds. I knew that look in his eyes. I was standing behind Megan and started shivering, looking right back at him.
“Giselle, honey, are you okay?” Star frowned. Fiona and Megan looked at each other, at me, then at the training grounds. They helped me, by letting me stand in front of the desks.
Leo started walking up to me. He did not rush, run or storm down on me as others would. He simply walked up to me, gave me a dashing smile, and with his big frame almost made me disappear in his hug. Taking my face in his big hands, he whispered “Mate”, I replied. “Mine”, shocking everyone. I was not a wolf. I was human. How could I know that he was my mate? He put his arms around my small waist, picked me up, and kissed me. When he pulled away, I smiled at him.
“I, Giselle Moonwater, a witch from the east, except you, Leo, Wolf from the Shadow pack, as my mate.”
“I, Leo, a wolf from the Shadow pack, accept you, Giselle Moonwater, witch from the east, as my mate,” Leo replied, and picked me up bridal style, carrying me off while everyone clapped hands. We first went to my room to collect my things and then to his room, which would now become our domain.
I guessed the cat was out of the bag now. Next would be, how did I hide it so well? But first, I wanted to get to know my mate.
