As they approached the castle, Ava felt a sense of trepidation wash over her. The walls seemed to loom above her, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground. Edward led her across the moat, his hand still wrapped around hers. Ava felt a sense of security in his touch, but it was tempered by her growing unease. As they reached the entrance to the castle, Ava saw that it was guarded by two massive stone statues. Their eyes seemed to gleam with a malevolent intensity, and Ava felt a shiver run down her spine. Edward nodded at the statues, and they stepped aside, allowing them to pass. Ava felt a sense of wonder at the magic that seemed to permeate this world. As they entered the castle, Ava was struck by its grandeur. The halls were lined with tapestries, and the floors were made of polished stone. Ava felt like she had stepped into a fairy tale. But despite the beauty of the castle, Ava couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The air seemed to vibrate with an otherworldly energy, and Ava felt like she was being watched. Edward led her deeper into the castle, until they reached a large wooden door. He pushed it open, and Ava saw that it led to a grand throne room. The room was filled with people, all of whom seemed to be staring at her. Ava felt a sense of unease wash over her, and she tried to step back. But Edward's hand was still wrapped around hers, and he pulled her forward. "Don't be afraid," he whispered. "You're safe here." Ava nodded, trying to believe him. But as she looked around the room, she saw that the people were all staring at her with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. And then, at the far end of the room, Ava saw a figure sitting on a throne. It was a woman, tall and regal, with long, flowing hair. The woman's eyes locked onto Ava's, and Ava felt a sense of recognition. She knew that she had seen this woman before, but she couldn't quite place her. As Ava gazed at the woman, she felt a sense of wonder wash over her. Who was this woman, and what did she want with Ava? As Ava looked into the woman's eyes, she saw something that made her heart skip a beat. Ava felt a shiver run down her spine as she gazed back, her heart pounding in her chest. Edward's hand tightened around hers, as if sensing her unease. "Don't worry," he whispered. "She won't hurt you." But Ava wasn't so sure. The woman's gaze seemed to hold a power that was both captivating and terrifying. As Ava stood there, frozen in uncertainty, the woman spoke. Her voice was low and husky, with a hint of an accent that Ava couldn't quite place. "Welcome, Ava," the woman said, her eyes never leaving Ava's face. "I've been waiting for you." Ava felt a surge of fear at the woman's words. What did she mean? How did she know Ava's name? But before Ava could ask any questions, the woman continued. "My name is Queen Lirien," she said, her voice dripping with authority. "And you, Ava, are a very special guest in my kingdom." Ava's mind was racing with questions, but before she could ask any of them, Queen Lirien gestured to a nearby servant. "Bring us wine and refreshments," she said, her eyes never leaving Ava's face. "We have much to discuss." As the servant scurried off to obey the queen's command, Ava felt a sense of trepidation wash over her. What did Queen Lirien want from her? And what did she mean by "special guest"? Ava's eyes darted to Edward, searching for answers. But his expression was unreadable, his eyes fixed intently on the queen. As the servant returned with a tray of wine and refreshments, Queen Lirien gestured for Ava to sit. Ava hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But Edward's hand was still wrapped around hers, and he gently pulled her down into a nearby chair. As Ava sat, she felt a sense of unease wash over her. But even his presence couldn't calm the sense of unease that was growing inside her. The woman's gaze seemed to hold a deep sadness, a sense of loss that Ava couldn't quite understand. And yet, at the same time, Ava felt a sense of connection to this woman, a sense of shared experience that went beyond words. As Ava gazed into the woman's eyes, she felt a vision begin to form in her mind. She saw a young girl, no more than ten years old, standing in a forest filled with towering trees. The girl grew older, her smile fading as she faced challenges and hardships that Ava couldn't even begin to imagine. And then, in a flash of insight, Ava understood. She saw a dark forest, lit only by the light of the full moon. She saw a figure running through the trees, pursued by a pack of wolves. And then, she saw a face. A face that was familiar, yet strange. A face that was both human and animal. Ava's mind reeled as she tried to process the images. She felt like she was being pulled into a world that was both familiar and yet completely alien. The woman's voice broke the spell, and Ava felt herself being pulled back into the present.
