8: She stays

I sighed and pounded into the woman harder, she writhed under me, I don't know if it was in pain or pleasure but I didn't care, my thoughts were leading me to that woman I left in the room and what those men tried to do to her, how can someone even think of hurting someone as fragile as her.

No, no, they have to be found and I'll make sure I track them down!

Odom was angry.

After getting my release, I got out of the room despite the whining woman in my bed, I wasn't about to spend a night with her! I went to wash up in my shower.

After getting ready for the day, I told my butler to make that girl food as I went to check what's happening at the border but I couldn't focus as I should.

That woman, Ashley, she wants to stay, I can't allow that, she makes me crazy. Being around her is dangerous, I don't think straight. What kind of sorcery is this?!

As soon as I stepped foot into the house, I asked about her.

" Did she eat?" The two workers look surprised, I'm sure they want to know who she is and why I let a stranger Into the pack and my home.

I growled lowly at the man who was looking at me shocked, he flinched and stuttered his answer

" No, Alpha" I furrowed my eyebrows, why isn't she eating

" Sir, she was crying when I took the food and asked me to leave," I looked at the clock, it's almost 9 pm and she has eaten still?

Is she worried I'll send her away? But again, she can't be so close to me.

' Are you sure she's not our mate?' I asked my wolf again but I get the same answer.

' No, but I think she's beautiful,' I snarled, the only woman Odom found beautiful in his life was mother, but she's no more, not dead but well...I don't want to indulge and that dancer, has been wanting to be with her for a long time but I just can't for some reason, I settle for just watching her move her beautiful body.

After I have my dinner, like on autopilot, I walked to her room.

I'm sure she's fast asleep, indeed, she was sleeping when I entered. Ashley looked so beautiful like a creep I watched her, her lips parted slightly and she said some incoherent words. She turned to face the other way and I followed.

Suddenly her heartbeat picked up and small sobs started to escape in her sleep.

" No, please," she cried. I debated whether to stay or walk away before she woke up. She screamed and jerked up suddenly and when her eyes met mine, she yelped again, throwing a pillow in my direction.

Realizing who I was, she started calming her breath while I poured her water into a glass.

I offered her the water and she took it with shaky hands, after she was finished she muttered a thank you and put the glass away.

I watched her silently, her cheeks were stained with tears and she hiccupped from time to time.

" You can stay here for a while but if you cause any trouble, I'll kill you," I said solemnly, what looked like a smile formed on her lips as she shook her head vigorously.

I turned to walk out but her small voice stopped me.

" Thank you," I didn't turn to look at her instead I opened the door and walked out of the room, a long sigh escaped me.

' I'll kill you seriously?' my wolf snarled, I rolled my eyes as I proceeded to my study room.

I did some work and just when I was about to retire to bed, the door opened.

" Andrew, John "

The beta and Gamma paced my office like two annoying bees I wanted to kill but I didn't, I watched them as they pretended to think.

" Just what were you thinking bringing a rogue into the land," they questioned in unison, I took my time to respond.

" She is a lone wolf," I clarified.

" What the difference, they are just the same. We don't let outsiders Into the pack especially in your home!" John exclaimed while Andrew looked to be in deep thoughts.

" I know but she was dying," I shrugged and they gasp sarcastically, their brows furrowed exaggeratedly.

" Oh John, so many people are dying, let's go now and bring them here," Andrew said, he looked angry at this, we don't allow intruders in our land, we have to be very careful especially lately since we heard rumors that people are working against us.

" Alpha, you have to kick her out," Andrew insists and I growled at him, well not me Odom did.

" She is going nowhere," I grounded.

" We have to be careful especially now that a lot of alphas are against us because of our rapid growth in numbers, strength, and wealth," John reasoned seriously. I nodded, the more we have the more enemies.

Three years ago when I took this land from my father, it wasn't as prosperous as it is now and the man had a lot of enemies in his miserable life, enemies who up to now are trying to take us out.

" She might just be working with our enemies," Andrew said. I understood their concern but Ashley Miller, well, she looked genuine?

I shook my head.

" Not her," My voice was hard.

" You don't know that Alpha, what is wrong with you, you have a good sense for these things and you never trust easily,"

He was right, the only people I trusted were in the room with me, they are like my family.

" I don't trust her," I said, I don't trust Ashley it's Odom who wants her around but I won't tell them that.

" Well, we don't either," They said, and just to put their mind at ease, I said.

" If she tries to cause trouble, I'll make her death memorable!" I mused, they looked at me in approval but Andrew wanted to argue, I could tell by the way he straighten his coat.

" Well, I still think she should..." He started but I cut him off

" She stays," I declared slowly. And without saying a word, I left them with their arguments.
