18: So confusing!

That evening was quiet, I went straight to my room because I didn't want to see the Alpha.

I closed my eyes but sleep didn't come as I tossed and turned in bed.

I finally got out of bed and went downstairs to do something or get a glass of milk however, I didn't expect to find Dominic there, he was sitting on one of the bar stools with a glass of strong whiskey in his hand, his hair was disheveled and he didn't wear a shirt.

He was in deep thoughts and I leaned against the wall, watching him.

His jaw is chiseled and sharp, he's HOT. Damn. I thought to myself.

His whole body was muscular and my eyes roamed on his broad shoulders to his eight pack

He cleared his throat and looked at me, getting me out of his trance.

Dominic ignored my presence and I reluctantly took steps towards him. I felt timid and small.

His aura was dominating in the kitchen and if I wasn't a strong wolf, I would run.

I cleared my throat but he didn't seem to care about my presence.

" Alpha," I called unsurely. The look he gave me was blank, with no emotions there.

" I'm sorry about earlier, you have been nothing but kind to me and I said that,"

Still, he said nothing, I was getting irritated, in the organization, I was known for my patience but not when it came to him.

" Don't get me wrong, I'm far from being kind," I gulped at his words, I already knew that. He continued.

" Everyone is entitled to their opinions,"

" But it was.." before I could finish my sentence, a sultry voice spoke.

" Baby, I'm still waiting in bed," I turned my neck to the naked wolf who walked into the kitchen. She was wearing red high heels and sexy lingerie.

The woman pushes past me to take my place next to Dominic...

My wolf growled in my head at the disrespect.

Her long fingers started to caress his bare upper body and I wanted to break both her wrist, I was fuming but something else caught my eye, her back was bruised like she was hit but a whip. Dominic.

The woman continued to talk to the alpha most provocatively and I was angry and upset that Dominic just let her!

I was growling lowly until the woman sharply turned to me

" Who the f**k are you?" I narrowed my eyes at her, then the alpha.

His face showed no interest as he answered.

" No one," he stood up and left the kitchen, the woman following behind.

' No one,' The words played in my head.

Without having my milk, I went back upstairs, scoffing.

' No one,' I laughed. I was losing my mind. I couldn't let him distract me.

I needed to stay focused on my mission.

Get the codes, maps, and everything Trenton needs.

In the morning, I wore a black dress and let my hair fall to my back.

Feeling content, I walked downstairs to talk to Dominic about letting me work. I'm sure he's still around.

Just as I guessed, he was eating his breakfast at the dining table.

" Goodmorning," he cheered when he saw me, I squinted my eyebrows. He had weird confusing moods.

" You look cheerful, Alpha," I said quietly. He nodded and continued eating his breakfast respectfully.

He nodded and motioned me to start eating.

John walked into the dining room, he greeted me with a smile as usual and proceeded to speak to his alpha, even though I was at the other end of the table, I could still hear bits of their conversation but didn't understand most because they used cryptic words.

Minutes later, Andrew entered the dining, he stopped and scowled at me.

Dominic Russel sensed my uneasiness and growled at his beta.

" I don't like her," he snarled at him.

" Andrew!" John gave him a reprimanding look but the Gamma just shrugged and ate a piece of bacon without even sitting down.

I always knew Gamma Andrew didn't like me and he has always shown it.

I needed to do something about him or he will just continue making my stay here difficult.

I abruptly stood up from my chair and they all looked at me.

" Alpha Russel," my voice was small.

" Hmm,"

" I think it's time for me to leave this pack," I said and his eyes widen while Andrew exhales thankfully, I could tell by his expression that was written leave, leave, leave.

" I'll drop you at the border," Andrew offered, and they glared at him, without any more words, I started to walk upstairs.

Silently pray that he stops me. Please say wait and when his voice resounded, I froze and smiled inwardly before turning.

" You can't go!"

Dominic took strides towards me and I shook my head. Like a good girl I am, I said.

" I've caused enough trouble," I faced the floor. I inhaled as I continued

" Thank you so much for all you have done,"

" Where are you going to go?" It's John who asked, I smiled weakly at him.

" Wherever that's a good part about being a lone wolf," I shrugged and chuckled awkwardly.

I turned to walk away but his hand grabbed mine, my heart accelerated as I slowly gaze up at Dominic then his hand on mine.

" You can't," his voice was soft and so were his eyes. I wondered why he has a strong liking towards me or am I misreading him? But how can he fake it, his expression can't lie, can it?

' he's concerned... For us,' Ana, my wolf spoke. She doesn't speak much. Only when it's necessary.

" Why?" I voiced.

If alpha Russel liked me or has some sort of feelings towards me, I can use it to my advantage.

" Because.. bea- cause," he couldn't formulate proper sentences, that was strange.

He froze suddenly, the gamma and beta jumped out of their seats.

" Damn, those f*****g rogues!" Andrew hit the table, making me jump a foot in the air.

" Stay here!" Dominic ordered before they all bolted out of the house.

I threw myself on the ground like a child and screamed my lungs, frustrated

What am I going to do? I'm so confused and my emotions towards Dominic are .. argh! So confusing.
