Chapter 2

I went to school in a daze after what happened yesterday. I really can't shake of this feeling I have, and Solana is giving me a major headache to start the day.

'Stop your pacing. You're giving me a massive headache.'

'I can't help it, and I'm still hungry. Two granola bars is not breakfast. It's a snack Sera. A freaking snack.'

'Sorry. I overslept. We'll eat more during lunch. I promise.'

Well, that worked. She stopped pacing back and forth.

I only got a moment's reprieve when all of a sudden, I was called to go to the principal's office. It's starting again, Solana's pacing back and forth again.

'What is it, Solana. Spit it out.'

'They're inside Sera. They're inside.'

Now that she has mentioned it, I'm getting three different scents. One is most probably Principal Goode. The other two are definitely werewolves, one male and female.

'Are they the exact two wolves from yesterday?'

'Yes. They smell exactly the same as the ones yesterday. Be careful, Sera.'

'That goes without saying, Solana.'

We went inside the office. I was walking slowly, because I don;t know what is going to happen, I was taught that way. Principal Goode suddenly spoke up and I jumped.

"There she is. Come Seraphina, and sit. We have matters to discuss."

I just looked at him, waiting for him to explain.

"Don't worry Sera, you are safe here. Your Aunt and Uncle is here to process your transfer papers. They will be taking you into custody since your parents died five months ago."

"Wait... They never told me they still had living relatives. They told me they are already dead."

One of the werewolves answered. The female said,

"They never told you because we told them not to. I'm your mother's sister, your Aunt Crystal. It's nice finally meeting you."

"If you're my Aunt, why did take you five months before retrieving me?"

"We were busy processing your custody papers. We received the news a few weeks after the accident happened. We were informed, more like I was informed that you were still underage and needed adult supervision. So we processed your custody papers, plus your transfer papers. I'm sorry if it took a long time."

What? Do I buy her excuse? I'm so confused right now.

'Solana? What do we do? Should we go with them?'

'What do you see, Sera?'

I did what Solana told me to do. I looked at them and saw that they did not have any ill intentions. I sighed heavily and accepted the fact that I will be transferring. But wait...

"So when exactly do I transfer?"

"Today. We are taking you today."

"Today? That's too sudden. This is my last day in school?"

"No. We are already taking you right now. Your transfer has already been processed. We were supposed to pick you up earlier at your house but you were already gone. So we went straight here."

So, I wouldn't be able to say good-bye to Mira? 

"I can't be able to say good-bye to my friend."

"I'm so sorry dear. We still have a long way to go. So we need to go back to your house and pack your things."

Wow. It really is a bad day. I guess I have to accept it then. Maybe not saying good-bye to Mira is the best. She will be having asking questions. Questions that I don't know how to answer. I agreed to their plan and left with them.

We went back home and they helped me pack my other things. They said that they will handle the selling of the property so that I will have money to spend when we went to where they are staying. I couldn't help myself, I asked them where they were taking me?

"To the pack, of course. Where else would we be taking you? To the orphanage?"

"You know that is not what I meant. What pack are you taking me?"

"The Blue Crescent Pack."

My heart suddenly dropped. They're a part of the strongest and oldest pack there is. This is so screwed up. They mean to say that my parents came from that pack?

"Did you know the reason why my parents fled the pack?"

"They didn't fled the pack, they just left. Don't worry, they had permission from Alpha Daniel. They were not in trouble or anything. Why? What did they tell you?"

"That's the thing, they didn't tell me anything. So I assumed that they either experienced some sh*t or that they made a grave mistake. I thought you guys were going to kill me yesterday!"

They just smiled. Are they amused or something? I continued packing my stuff in my room until there was nothing left except for my parents ashes. I took each of their vases and wrapped them tightly in bubble wrap so that they won't break. These are my only remembrance of them. My room is now empty. I'm going to miss this house.

I had so many memories here. This where I celebrated my some of my firsts, first birthday, first time riding a bike, my graduation. And my parents were with me during those moments, and now they're gone. I miss them so much.

'Cheer up, Sera. Mom and Dad will not be happy if they see you like this. You know how they are.'

'Yeah, I'm sorry if I'm being such a sentimental b*tch. I should be focusing on how to not be the center of attention at our new house and school. I don't to be a total fool.'

'Oh, stop fussing. Whatever happens, I'm here for you, okay?

'Okay. Thank you, Solana. What would I do without you?'

'You'd be bawling your eyes out every time when I'm not around.'

'You're probably right.'

We laughed at the thought of me bawling my eyes out. We took our bags and the box where I put my mom and dad, and went downstairs. It seems the two of them are already finished packing. They'd make efficient packers. The only thing left was me, my luggage, and my parents.

They took luggage and bags from me but when they tries to take my parents, I didn't give it to them. They just nodded and motioned for me to follow them. So I did. I locked the house, gave them the keys and went inside the car.

"Oh, I think I forgot introduce my mate to you. This is your Uncle Jasper. You should get comfortable. This is going to take a while."

I sighed and just nodded at that. They started the car and we left. I just stared out of the window all through out until I fell asleep in that position, and I dreamt.
