Chapter 6

**Seraphina**

Ugh. I have a huge headache. What just happened?

'We found our mate. He's beside us, Sera.'

I looked to the side and she was right. He was there. Looking at me like I'm the most precious thing in the world. I can't explain this feeling.

"Hello there, love. How are you feeling?"

He's looking at me intensely. It made me smile.

"I have a headaceh, but other than that, I'm fine. Thank you. What happened?"

"You suddenly fainted, love."

"And guess what happened while you were sleeping?"

I hadn't noticed we have company. It was Mira who asked the question. I gave a look to continue what she was talking.

"You're mate almost choked Blaze to death. Good thing we arrived in time to stop him. I almost lost my mate, doll." Annie

I was honestly amused at what I heard. I looked at Blaze and saw hand marks on his neck. He must have had a hard time to breathe.

"You're amused." Bella

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. Was it because of earlier in the cafeteria?l

I can see my mate straining to control his wolf from taking over. So before anything happens, I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.

"Calm down. I wasn't hurt, okay? Let it go."

"How could I when he hurt you, my mate and future Luna of the pack."

My eyes widened at that. Luna? So my mate is the Alpha of the pack?

"Luna? You're Alpha Daniel's son?"

"Yes, and I am the future Alpha of the pack. My name's Claude. What's your name?"

"Seraphina. Everybody just calls me Sera."

He is so damn fine. He's repeating my name over and over again until he is satisfied. I asked him if he could help me up so we can go home. When I was about to stand, my stupid knees went weak all of a sudden.

"Be careful, dear. You're still not strong enough to stand after all the things that you had experienced today. It's better if Alpha Claude is to carry you."

Stupid adrenaline rush. I hate it everytime this happens. When Claude was about to carry me bride style, I stopped him.

"If you have to carry me, I want a piggyback ride."

I missed being carried like that by my dad. And I want to hug him and smell him more. I'll let him have his share later.

He just raised his brows and smiled. He conceded and turned around and crouched so that I can get into position. When that is done, he took my legs and stood up. Damn, it's like he's carrying a stuffed bear by the way he stood.

He's smells so good. I buried my face in the crook of his neck and inhaled his scent. I never knew sandalwood could be this intoxicating. I want to devour him as soon as possible. What is happening to me? I'm having stupid imaginations. I just hid my face and soon fell asleep on his back.

**Claude**

She's so cute and adorable when she asked for a piggyback ride. I felt her sniffing me. So that was her plan all along. I will get was long due for later. We went out of the infirmary and walked back home. I guess she was really tired becaues she fell asleep while on my back.

"Man, I didn't expect for the newbie to be your mate. Can she be the one, Claude?" Gale

"Yes, I was also wondering that. Is she the one in the prophecy?" Bella

"You think I wasn't thinking about that? I was wondering that when we were still in the infirmary. I will be able to know later. For now, let her rest."

"Sorry about earlier, Claude." Blaze

"Forget it. She already forgave you."

"No, he still owes the doll a cheeseburger. Right, babe?" Annie

"Yes, I'll buy her two cheeseburgers tomorrow." Blaze just scratched his head. He's such a badass in the battlefield but is like a pup when in front of Annie.

"But seriously, we need to figure out if she is the one or not. We will need every wolf that is capable of fighting. They are slowly surrounding us, Claude. We are running out of time." Adam

"We'll talk later. I'll bring her later."

We arrived at the pack house. Everybody was looking my mate, some were actually eye f*cking her. I let loose a loud growl this time to let them know to f*ck off. I took her to my room to rest for a while before going to dinner.

I gently placed her on my bed. Hopefully, my scent would calm her when she wakes up in a different room.

I went outside only to be stopped by two pack members; Crystal and Jasper. Why are they here?

"What happened to Sera, Alpha? I saw her passed out on your back?" Crystal asked

"She's her niece, Alpha. She's the legal guardian of Sera since her parents died five months ago." Jasper supplied.

"Don't worry, she fainted earlier. When she came to, she was still not strong enough to walk. So I carried her, she fell asleep on my back."

"Thank the Goddess. We'll take her to her room so that you can have your room back, Alpha." Crystal

I blocked the door with my body and hands. 

"You won't disturb her sleep. She will sleep in my room starting today. I will announce it later but I get the feeling that you won't leave unless I tell you. She's my mate, Crystal. She's safe here. Don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt her."

She just nodded and then they left. I went straight to my father's study. Both mom and dad were inside, perfect timing.

"I found her. I found my mate."

Mom actually jumped out of her seat and went straight to hug me. Dad took his time walking up to me.

"Where's she at? I want to meet her." Mom asked excitedly

"What I want to know is who?" Dad asked.

"She's sleeping in my room for now. A lot has happened to her today and she's tired. You already met her before me."

Their brows furrowed on the faces. They look like complete idiots, but I won't tell them that if I still want to live.

"We already met her? Who?" They both said.

"Yes. You met her yesterday."

They still can't figure it out. I took them out of their misery and told them who it is.

"It's Seraphina. Sera is my mate."

Their eyes widened at the news, and a smile broke on my mother's face. My dad was just amused, I wonder why?

"So she's your mate? No wonder she stood up to me yesterday after knowing I was the current Alpha of the pack. She is strong and she knows it. I don't know why she's acting weak though."

"Oh, thank the Goddess. But is she the one we're looking for?"

"We will discuss that after dinner. Let her rest for now. She's been through a lot."

We left it at that, and started to talk aboit the agenda later this evening. We have a lot to talk about tonight. And it will revolve on my mate. I hope she won't get scared.
