Chapter 5

**Seraphina**

I need to find a place where I can eat my lunch in peace. All this adrenaline pulsing in veins will be hard to get rid of. It would take half a day for me and Solana to calm down. It would have been better if we fought. Oh, well.

After I got out of the cafeteria, I just walked until I found out that I arrived at the football field near a forest. I found a comfortable seat under the shade of a huge oak tree.

I ate my lunch in peace. After I ate, I put on my headphone, played the music on random and closed my eyes to relax. Afternoon classes don't start until 1 so I lied down. In no time at all, sleep claimed me. And I started to dream.

I was standing again in front of the sleeping maiden. There was a drastic change of her aura. She seems more desperate now. What is she desperate of?

"Have you found me at last?"

She asked the same question as last time, but before I could answer her, she continued on talking in my mind.

"You need to find him, find me and release me. Release from these shackles if you want to win."

Find who? Win where? Win what? I got confused more and more.

"You have no time left, find him my little one."

"Who do I find? Who is he?"

"You'll know when you find him. He'll tell you everything. You both are my champion. Find him, and find me. I'll be waiting for you here. You alone know where this is."

Before I could tell her that I don't understand, the ground started shaking violently. An earthquake? In my dream? When I looked up, the sleeping maiden disappeared.

"Sera, Sera! Wake up."

I woke up with a jolt. I accidentally bumped heads with Mira.

"Oww! B*tch, that hurts."

"Sorry, Mira. What time is it?"

I took off my headphones, turned off the music, and stashed them in my bag.

"It is already 12:50, doll." Annie

"Crap. I slept that long?"

"Sorry aboit earlier doll. Blaze just likes to fight, that's all."

"It's okay. I was glad to have met someone strong early on."

I got up and went inside. They pointed where my next class is. It was a bummer that we don't have the same classes but I'm already used to it. I went inside and sat the back near the window.

Classes haven't started yet and I am already bored to high hell. There's only one thing to keep my mind busy, doodling. I always have a spare notebook where I doodle. Whether I'm in the mood for a story or just a random doodle, I do it in this notebook. This is already the fifth one.

I had an idea for the story, so I started doodling. I was so absorbed in what I was doing that classes had ended and I was the only one left in the room. I picked up my things and put them back in my bag.

While I was doing that, I scented the most amazing smell. It was the most intoxicating smell of sandalwood, lavender and... chocolate? It smells so heavenly. Even Solana was jumping up and down in my head.

'Find the scent, please. Sera, find it.'

I did. I left my things and went outside the hall. I was in the hallway when I found the most handsome guy I've ever seen. He is a living Adonis. Well defined muscles, strong square jaw, straight nose and the most strikingly beautiful blue ice. They're as blue as the sea on a bright sunny day. His head was crowned in the most vibrant red. I could tell that it was it's natural color.

"Mate." We both said in unison. But before I could take a step forward, all the adreanline from earlier left my body in one go. Darkness claimed me and I never knew what happened.

**Claude**

When we all ate our lunches, the girls went hunting for the new girl. We discussed about what happened durong the, meeting yesterday at the border of the territory. We were wrapping things up when the bell rang. We stood and went to our classes.

Time goes by slow today. I was bored. Plain and simple. My mind started to drift. I always envied Blaze and the others. They found their mates when they first shifted and was with them a year after.

I never found my mate when I first shifted. I'll wait for her because the Moon Goddess will give me the best one for me. Or we wil all die on the battlefield of the incoming war.

I was so busy daydreaming that I hadn't realized that classes ended and the guys were calling me.

"Claude, dude. Where's your head?"

That is my hot-headed beta, Blaze. He is always itching for a fight. He just has bloodlust, that's all. Only Annie can stop him from too much killing. They are the exact opposite of each other.

"You're just pissed because Annie arrived before you could brawl."

That was my prankster of an Omega, Gale. He's Belladonna's mate. They couldn't be more perfect for each other. Gale always manages to end in a fight with him but when he knows he'll lose, he immediately calls Annie to stop Blaze.

I heard my Gamma, Adam, smack the head of Gale. He's Mira's mate. They complement each other. Mira being the loud mouth that she is, and the quiet Adam. He can be fearsome when Mira is involved.

"Don't goad him, Gale. Or you'll end up hanging upside down a tree branch."

I packed my things and followed them. They continue their nonsensical bickering. They don't care if everyone hears it anyway. I just laugh at them when all of a sudden I scented a most delicious smell. Sweet caramel mixed with hints of citrus.

I sniffed the air and went to find the source of the smell. I left the others and find myself in an empty corridor where I found the most beautiful girl just outside of a classroom.

When she turned around, we said the same thing at the same time.

"Mate."

She was perfect. She was a foot shorter than me but has a feisty aura. Wide hips that I can hold for days, plump a** and breast. She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. It was a golden shade with speckles of different colors; blue, green, red. Her head is then crowned with sapphire blue wavy hair that falls just above her a**.

Everything was perfect but she suddenly fainted. Good thing I was fast enough, she would have banged her head on the floor otherwise.

I lifted her up when the others caught up to me. They looked at me and the girl who I was carrying. Blaze suddenly had an expression like he knew her. I gave him a low growl.

"Dude, what was that for? Don't tell me..."

I didn't let him finish, I ordered them to get her things and follow me to the school infirmary. I will not let anyone hurt her. I just smelled her hair, calming my wolf.

'We found our mate. She's beautiful. She's perfect.'

I know. She was an angel sent by the Moon Goddess. We arrived at the infirmary, thank the Goddess that the doctor is still in. She immediately prepared the bed and I laid my mate down. Gave her the details and went to sit beside her.

"Dude, that's the girl I was talking about earlier during lunch..."

I wasn't able to stop Raine from taking over. He grabbed Blaze by the neck and started choking him. Before I could choke him fully, the girls arrived and helped their mates to take me away from Blaze.

I was fuming when Annie, stood in front of me. "What happened, Alpha? I know it's not my place but why were you choking your Beta?"

"He f*cking hurt my mate, that's why."

Everybody was shocked, their grips slackened and I shrugged them off. And went to my mates side, waiting for her to open her lovely eyes again.
