Matthias Fucking Inquisition. It took me three weeks.  Three long, torturous weeks to talk my way out of the inquisition.  In the end they  let me go because they couldn’t come to an agreement.  Some of the Counsel were old enough to remember that the Flores Vitae were considered something precious, a thing to be cherished and protected, a gift from the Heavens.  But the younger generations only feared them.  To them my Rose was nothing but a deadly weapon which had to be eliminated.  I had argued adamantly that Rose had only used her blood in an act of self-defense.  She would never have used her blood if she had not been attacked.  She had a right, as much as any other living being, to defend her life by any means possible.  I had also insinuated that the Flowers needed to be preserved
