One snarky sales associate wasn’t going to ruin my trip to NYC. I had a beautiful dress for the show tomorrow, a handsome man beside me, and the whole city to explore. Well, not really, but Matthias really did take me to the Empire State building. I was a little afraid of heights, but from way up there, the heights didn’t even seem real any more. The cars and the people far below were like little toys. I took some pictures to send Heather, and then I shyly asked if Matthias would take one together with me.
He looked surprised. And pleased. He waved, and much to my surprise, Christoff emerged from the crowd and wove his way toward us. “Are you kidding me? Has he been following us the whole time?”
“Yep.”
I grinned, “Does that mean he saw you model the dress for Nancy?”
