Meeting again

Arabella POV

To my astonishment, when we get back from our lunch break , everyone is back to their work. Damn it! It seems we are already so late yet our boss as made it clear that since our new big boss is to come today , any one who made a stupid mistake would end up losing their jobs . Now here were are -

“ Where have the two of you been?” his hoarse voice gets me totally offside just as we are getting into our area of work. We thought we had survived his Insults but I think we were totally wrong.

“ The devil incarnate .” Ham whispers into my ear just loud enough for me to hear . I can't believe this , Ham will never be any serious even in this kind of state that the two of us are in right now.

We are at the verge of losing our jobs but still he gets a chance to create amusement...anyway I will not deny that is One of the reasons why I Love him for a best friend so much.

With his so serious facial expression, the boss moves drastically towards where the two of us are glued to the floor not even making a slight step to or from.

I can imagine what he has in stock for us. I have always tried so much not to be in his bad books. You know the two of us have some kind of history that doesn't favor me in this kind of state...I think that will be for another time.

“ How many times have I told you to get here in time? ” he almost thundered at us, which attracted the rest of the workers who are busy at their work to face us.

“ The t-”

“ JUST SHUT UP !!!” he interrupts, snapping at me so angrily .

Damn it ! , I stare at him wide eyed sensing that this is not just like all those confrontations we have had...this is worse than that.

The boss turns away from me towards Ham who is surely as tense as I am. All this is because of that Stranger hunk's confrontation. If it Wasn't him then I would be back to work in time and therefore I couldn't be in such danger.

“ Go to work ” is what the boss says to Ham. Ham turns into a confused fella just as I am. I thought we were in this together. So how come he let him and not me .

“ What !!! Why are you letting me go to work and not the both of us ?" Ham asks immediately. Of Course I expected that from him.

You know he is my best friend , he never lets me stay in any kind of danger without having to do the best that he can do to help.

“ Excuse me, who gave you permission to utter such Nonsense to me. I think I know your problem. Just because your w***e Girlfriend isn't going with you.”

” She is not a w***e plus how many times am I going to tell you that the two of us are not sleeping together .” Ham answers the boss, now more angry.

“ Ooh, I see you can even fit for her. But my decision is final. But I have some changes if I don't mind. You can go with her if you want. ” the boss says as he begins to move back towards his temporary office.

After taking ba few steps , he turns back towards us saying ;

“ Arabella Means, I need you in my office now '' After that he disappears into his office as everyone else turns back to their work.

“ Let's go together” Ham informs me, taking hold of my hand. No way !! I am not going to let you face the consequences alone yet we were together.”

“ Don't begin Ham , I know what you are upto but trust me I am not going to let you get into this.” I say looking him straight in the eyes is a gesture I do when I am so serious about something.

“ But -”

“ No buts Ham , this is my problem and so I have to solve it alone. Don't forget you have a mother and a sister who solely depend on you . What will happen if you lose your job as well? ”

“ just head to work without saying a single word .” I say . I don't give him any chance to respond since I disappear towards the boss's temporary office.

When I reach the door , I at first hesitate before deciding to know . Just when I am about to know , something attracts my attention . I can tell that there is more than one person Inside.

At Least I can be assured he will not do anything to me. I knock and he tells me to get inside . I slowly open the door to get in. The boss stands up with his wicked smile coming around. Buy then there is someone else who is standing with his back at me .

Wait ,that physique,those clothes ...they are so familiar. Before I can figure out who he is , he turns around facing me ...the stranger Hunk !! What is he doing here in the first place?

I look on for sure taken aback by everything that is happening right here. I don't know what to do. Right now I feel like the floor should open up and perhaps swallow me up.

I open my mouth several times but don't say anything since I can't seem to form anything . But then what do I have to say?

“ Big boss, she is the one I have told you about." My boss says to the hunk stranger.

What!!! You mean ? ..oh no, if that is how things are , Bella just knows you are jobless right now. Based on all the Insults we threw at him with Ham , he is going to fire me and even maybe take me to prison. Oh God, help me not to get to all that.

“ You can leave me to have a word with her.” the stranger Hunk says to my boss who moves out obediently leaving just the two of us all alone . I instantly feel all tensed up.
