Even though one threat was gone I still had the problem of the Volturi. The entire coven was here and ready to fight us. The entire coven except Sili and Jake. Maybe we had a chance in winning this battle.
"Rachel, we had a deal." Aro seethed.
Rachel, who was gawking at Matthew turned to look at him. "We had a deal Aro, but there are loopholes to every deal and mine happened to be Matthew changing his mind. You are on your own." she sneered.
Rachel laced her fingers through Matthew's and the two quickly disappeared into the forest. Now it was just my family, the two wolf packs and the Volturi.
"If you leave us in peace we will forget this ever happened. No grudges will be held Aro." Carlisle spoke, trying to end this all.
"As long as you have what I want there will always be a grudge to hold." he responded.
"You know what will happen if you try and take us, Alice told you once before and Zelda confirmed it."
"Yes, of course but that was before we acquired our newest members. I believe you are familar with your puppy Jacob, wait until you see his power now."
"J-Jake would never ever hurt us. He joined you because he would do anything to protect us." I shouted at him.
Aro laughed manically. "Dearest Renesmee, you obviously don't know the power of persuasian when it comes to being a member of the Volturi. You could send your father to us and in a month he would be walking, talking and feeding as if he had always been one of us. Now imagine several months. The Jacob you knew no longer exists on this planet."
My lip began quivering as I fought to hold back sobs that wanted to break free. I didn't want to believe that my Jacob was gone. After all he did to protect me I hurt him and then he lost sight of who he was.
"You lie." My father interrupted. "You haven't seen Jacob or Sili in three months. Rachel was your only chip you could play to get an advantage over us and you just lost it. Now you have nothing which is why you are delaying on any sort of action. You are afraid, afraid to lose."
Aro's face was a blank canvas of emotion. I couldn't tell if he was angry or scared but I knew something wasn't right, atleast for Aro.
"We will not leave until we have what we came for." He growled.
"You can't do this." Carlisle said.
"Oh we can and we will old friend."
Alice did a flip over Demetri, landing in a sitting position on his shoulders, with his head between her legs. Squeezing her thighs together tightly she put him in a headlock and pulled up. A defeaning sound that reminded me of grinding metal was heard before his head popped off and landed several feet to the left.
Then all hell broke loose.
Rosalie and Emmett double teamed Felix while Carlisle and Esme went after Aro. My mother and father ignored the entire battle and came straight to my side. My father lifted me into his arms and went to take a step before Caius grabbed him and threw him backwards.
My fathers grip on me tighted as we were airborne. When we landed I heard a crack and a scream escaped my lips. A sharp burning pain quickly filled my chest and every breath I took hurt. I couldn't move.
"Renesmee?" My father gasped as he released me.
Carlisle joined our side and began assessing me while the fight continued. Only I couldn't understand why my father was here but my mother wasn't. She would be here right?
"Her ribs are shattered." I heard Carlisle say through the ruckus.
In the next half second I was quickly lifted and moved deeper into the woods by my father. Carlisle adjusted my body so I could breath a little more comfortable and then he went back to the fight.
Seconds after my mother was at my side, her face was pained as she looked at me.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered before kissing me on my forehead.
I winced as I took a deep breath. Once the pain passed I turned my head to look at my mother. "Where is Nic?" I asked.
"I'm here, I haven't left your side." I heard him say as fingers combed gently through my hair.
"Please, stay."
"I'm not going anywhere Renesmee."
Suddenly a hiss escaped my mother and I could hear a growl building in her chest. She jumped to her feet and went down in a crouch, ready to attack whatever had set her off.
Don't attack!" A familar male voice called. "It's me Jake."
"Jake?" My mother called out.
In the next couple moments Jake was standing right before us, Sili behind him. One look at his eyes and I knew he hadn't been feeding on human blood for a very long time.
"Please don't hurt us Jake." My mother breathed. "We are not your enemies."
Jake smiled, his teeth sparkling from the little light that shown through the tree line. "I..." Jake looked over his shoulder at Sili and continued. "We came here to help."
"Edward read Aro's mind and saw that you had been missing for a couple months." My mother said as she crossed her arms at her waist. "What is that about?"
"Sili found out about Aro's involvement with a vampire wanting to get revenge on you so we left. I knew if the Volturi came back you would need as much help as you get. So I went and rounded up all our old friends from the last battle."
"They are here?" My mother glanced over her shoulder.
"Yeah, all of them and a few more. There are alot of vampires out there that want nothing more than to get rid of the Volturi forever." Jake smirked.
A loud crash shook the ground causing me to scream as my broken body vibrated.
"Broken ribs." Nic said as Jake looked at me worridly.
"She will be alright right?" He asked.
"When the fight is over Carlisle will fix her up." My mother replied. "You should go and help, it will get over faster."
Without another word Jake and Sili put several yards of distance between us and burst into their vampire wolf forms before they took off running in the direction of the fight.
I was in so much pain it took all my strength to not scream. I wanted this pain to be over, even death would satisfy me.
"Mom, it hurts." I breathed.
She ran her hand across my cheek and my face cooled dramatically.
"Grandpa Carlisle will fix you all up once he can."
"CATCH HIM, CATCH HIM!" I heard someone scream.
My mother looked up suddenly and her eyes grew wide. She jumped to her feet and lunged forward only to be knocked off her feet. I couldn't see who she was fighting but the two disappeared deeper into the forest, knocking over several trees in the process.
Then Nic was standing infront of me in a defensive stance. "Just go away." He warned to whoever was there.
The person moved closer and was now in my view. I couldn't believe my eyes, out of all the people I wouldn't want to see, Felix was at the top of the list. I knew he was the strongest in his coven meaning I was dead, it was just a matter of time.
"Leave her alone!" I heard Jamie scream as she took a stand infront of Nic.
Felix looked back and forth between Jamie and myself before a sinister grin slid onto his face. He was up to something only I didn't know what.
In half a second he was beside Jamie, holding her hostage in one of his large muscular arms. She thrashed angrily trying to get out of his grip but her attempts were futile. With his free hand he aimed a punch at Nic and he was out cold.
Now I was next. Whatever he had planned I knew it wasn't going to be good.
"One of the things about being a newborn is that you can turn on your closest friends from a whiff of blood." Taking his nail Felix cut a gash along my chest and watched as blood began flowing freshly.
Because I was half vampire my body healed quickly, like a werewolfs. So all my cuts I had half an hour ago were faint scars.
"Jamie...." I whispered as I watched her body go rigid.
Jamie closed her eyes determined to focus and control her blood lust.
"I'm not going to hurt you Renesmee. I won't, I'm resisting."
Then the worst happened. Felix shoved Jamie's face into my blood wound and then released her. Suddenly she hissed and sank her teeth into my body and I could feel as the life was being sucked out of me, blood drop by blood drop.
"Jamie, no!" I heard Tyler scream as he knocked her off of me.
I was bit... she bit me. I knew what was next, I was going to turn and become a vampire. Now all I could do was lie here and wait for the burn.
"Help me...."
"No one can save you" Felix said as he hovered over me. "You will turn and become part of the Volturi as my mate."
I shook my head, causing another wave of pain to roll through me. "I'd rather die, so just kill me." Closing my eyes I took a deep breath and waited.
When I opened my eyes again Felix lay in pieces on the ground, his head seperated from his body and his arms ripped off. My mother and father were here.
"Renesmee, are you alright?" My mother asked me.
"She's been bit Bella."
"She's going to turn?"
"If her body accepts the change, if not it will kill her." My father replied.
"Can't we do something? Wait... I can suck it out of her, or you can. You did it to me once."
"Bella, I'm not sure there is any time left, the venom has spread too far."
"We can't give up, I refuse to lose her." I was shocked to hear Nic's voice. He had blood trickling down his nose and a swollen face.
"Nic, we can't risk it. You could just be pushing more venom into her system." My father added. "It could kill her."
"Not trying could kill her!" He shouted back before he looked into my eyes. "Renesmee, give me permission to do this." he asked me.
I went to open my mouth and respond but the burning began, causing me to scream in agony. This pain was worse than the broken ribs I had suffered today. It was unbearable and I wanted it to stop.
I felt a sharp pain where Jamie had attacked me and the feeling of life draining from my body returned along side the burning fire that raged through me. As seconds passed I began to feel a change. The burning sensation began to disappate but the lifeless weight grew heavier and heavier until it pulled me under and I seccumbed to a blanket of darkness.
This was it, I thought to myself. I was dead.
