By the time I reached the island, my heart had almost given out.
If something else could go wrong now, I don't think I could face it.
But when I saw Tatiana in the middle of her tribe, then heard her retelling the story of how she came to this island, my soul was calm.
They were not in danger.
She summoned me here.
The feeling of my heartstrings being tugged was not a bad omen.
It was just a call to come home.
And my heart skipped a beat when I saw Kayla there.
Because of the matter of how she got here - and who are the outsiders she brought with her - I would have to postpone dealing with all of it.
I was just happy that at least this part of the whole mess is going well.
