Heart to Heart

Killian's POV

I should have been here to make sure Charlie was safe. I should have been here to help tell our story to our son.

She should have been safe here. But once again she traded hersef for her brother. She always feels like she has to be the one to save everyone. Some she wolf held a blade to my brother in law's throat and demand a trade him for MY MATE!!

I look to my side and see my son next to me with a tear sliding down his face. I look up and see Storm placing her hand on Sean's shoulder to comfort him.

I see my mate was right when she said I would love who my son's mate was. Storm has always been like a second daughter to us. Charlie embraced her like her own as soon as she saw her. I stand up and other my hand to my son. He grabs my hand and pulls himself up then pulls me into a tight hug. I wrap my arms around him and hold him like a life line.

I tell him, " We will get her back."

Sean nods stepping away from me, " Knowing Ma she is giving whoever took her major hell."

We both laugh at that. My mate has always been a fighter.

I look over at Orin, " Who the f**k took MY MATE"

Orin steps closer so only that Sean, Storm, and I can her. He whispers, " Heather! She said she was getting revenge for her family and reuniting Charlie with our father. We have been able to confirm if my father is still alive."

I nod, " Ashton once told me that TA said that everytime she has attempted to locate Brenton she is blocked. Ashton said it could be either because he is dead or something else."

I nod. I let out a breath and look at Storm, " Hey Storm can you meet with Alec and Romn when they get back I need to speak with my son?"

She smiles at me, " Yes Alpha Killian."

I smile back, " No need to be formal you have always been like family to us and now as my son's mate and future Luna you can call me Killian or Kill or whatever."

She nods and then walks away with Orin leaving me alone with my son. I look at him and motion for us to walk and talk.

I talk first, " I know you told your mother you would never hate after you heard our story but I know you and I know you have something to say. So say it."

Sean stops walking and yells, " Yeah I got something to say. HOW THE f**k COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY MOTHER?!"

I flinch alittle then state, " First thing BOY don't ever raise your voice at me ever again. "

He huffs at me and then nods.

I look up to the sky and then back him trying to find the right words to use. Charlie was always so much better with words. I look back at him, " When I was youger I thought I would never need a mate and I also thought that I was in love with Kayla. I was stupid. The day I met your mother I was here to make a treaty that I really didn't want. I wasn't looking for a mate but fate is a tricky b***h that won't be denied.I had closed my heart to anyone or anything. I saw her, mate, and marked her. I brought her back home and forced her to endure something that she should never have to deal with. The day she found out she was carrying you I felt my heart open up and could feel myself caring for her. When Kayla sprouted her lies I was hurt and felt like my heart was broken. It broke even more when I realized how much pain I cause her. The day she told me what she had named our pup was the day I realized that I loved her and only wanted her happiness. When she traded herself for her brother I felt broken. All I wanted was her back in my arms and to know she was safe. I made her a promise the day you were born to spend the rest of my life making it up to her and to earn her heart again. We raised you to treat your mate as a partner and always be there for your mate. I know you may never understand and I will take your hate but don't hate your mother."

I watch as he sighed, rubbed his brow then looked at me, " Pops I could never hate you or Ma. yes I was highly pissed hearing what my own father did to my mother. I grew up seeing how much you loved her and saw how you were always there for her. I just never thought you would ever be like that or do something like that."

I sigh again, " I know trust me Ash, TA, Alec. and Orin remind me of that f**k up everytime they drink or if I piss your mother off. I am lucky she forgave me and she will always be the love of my life. She is strong and I know I will get her back."

Sean steps closer to me and gives me a side hug, " We will Pops. Nothing will ever happen to her again. I know she is alive."

I laugh and finally tell him something that only TA knows, " Oh I know she is alive. If she was dead I would be dead with her."

My son looks at me with shock, " What does that mean?"

I look at him again, " After our wedding your mother and I went to TA and had her entwine our life forces because we never wanted to live without the other. IF your mother dies, I die and if I die so does she."

My son nods, " Now that is love Pops."

We laugh a little and I say, " No one knows and you can't tell them. It is our final secret."

He nods again. I look over when I hear footsteps. Storm stops infront of us gasping for air.

She looks at me, " We found her but it aint pretty."
