Chapter 2 Zoe got to work texting as soon as I agreed to meet her cousin, Tyler. He had band practice that night and work the next day, so we could either have lunch together in an hour, or wait a couple of days. "Fine,” I said, caving in. “I need to get showered and put on decent clothes. Tell Tyler he can pick me up in an hour.” "Will do,” Zoe said. I could tell she was smiling from ear to ear. I unlocked door and stepped inside. I told myself it was stupid to feel nervous, but I had butterflies in my stomach. What if Tyler was mean or stupid, or worse, really cool? Would he like me? The hot shower calmed me down some.
