Prologue

The year 2028...

I am sitting in a cafe at Starbcks sipping my coffee while waiting for someone.

I took my phone out of my pocket and texted him.

: “Chill Babe, I'm on my way now.”

He replied quickly.

: “Are you that excited to see me?”

Napangiti ako sa reply niya. Seriously, he's so corny. Mabilis akong nagtipa.

                                   “Shut up, if you're not still here at 15 minutes. I'm going to leave you.”

I then put my phone back.

: “What you're going to leave me?!”

: “No! Wait for me! Traffic kasi Babe.”

: “Eunice??“

: ”Hey!!”

: “Babeeee”

I shook my head as my phone vibrated for 7 times, indicating he messaged me like 7 times in a row. I read his text and laughed at it. What? Did he assume that I'm going to break up with him just because of that?

Idiot.

Babe calling...

I just stared at the caller id and didn't answer it.

Serves him right for being late.

We're going to a reunion today, it’s already ten years.

I browse my gallery and look at the old photos that I have.

Kamusta na kaya sila?

Nabigla na naman ako ng tumawag na naman siya. I answered his call.

"Babeee!!! Teka lang, don't leave me okay. Hintayin mo ako. Hindi ko kaya na wala ka." seryoso niyang bungad. Napaigtad naman ako sa lakas ng boses niya.

Ha.

"Ang OA mo."

"Ikaw kasi, wag ka ngang magbiro ng ganyan." may halong inis na sabi niya.

"Teka, bakit ang ingay?"

"Ah, tumatakbo kasi ako ngayon."

"What?!!!" gulat na sabi ko, napatingin naman sa akin ang ibang customers. I just bow at them and say sorry.

"Eh kasi traffic Babe. Malapit na ako. Don't worry."

"Bakit ka ba kasi late?! Osige na, end ko na to”

"Tekaaaa!"

"Ano?"

"I love you."

I end the call after that. I close my face saka ako napatili ng mahina.

Kinikilig pa rin ako whenever he said that.

Minutes later, someone opens the door. And then he came.

He looked around first until we've eye contact.

He smiled brightly as he waved his hand na parang bata saka pumunta sa table ko.

"Why are you doing that? Para kang bata."

"You're not going to leave me right."

nakanguso niyang sabi.

He's so cute.

"You've misunderstood. Iiwan kita dito after 15 minutes kasi mauuna na ako doon." I chuckled.

"They why you didn't answer my phone earlier?"

"Sinagot ko naman ah."

"Hindi yung una!"

"Ah, napindot ko lang." I teased him.

Simula nung naging kami, he changed a lot, para siyang naging bata. He's like that whenever he's with me.

"Okay, I forgive you. But why you ended my call without replying to my, I love you!!!"

"Ah, I forgot."

Tinitigan niya ako ng masama. Tumawa lang ako.

"Babe."

"Hmm?"

"You look beautiful."

"I mean you always look beautiful but you're amazingly stunning today."

"I know." I smirked.

"Babe!"

I teasingly looked at him, we've been together for a while now. But I still can't explain how much I love this man.

"Haha. I'm kidding, thank you. I love you too."

I whispered his name softly, he then smiled at me sweetly.

I can't still believe that I'm with him.

Many unexpected situations happen.

I met many people, I met him, I met my friends.

But he's my favorite unexpected situation that happens in my life.

I smiled at him, while reminiscing my memories, Ten years ago...
