I shouldn’t have come here. I should have just gone back to my room and avoided tempting fate, but I couldn’t help myself. I thought, what’s the worst that could happen? Because I had assumed the little wolf was asleep, but apparently, she was having trouble falling asleep just like me.
So, I decided to do what was best for both of us and walked away. I was almost back to my room when I heard footsteps approaching. I stopped, turned around with my hand on the door handle, and saw her coming my way. Of course, we were on the same floor. My guess was Kate.
She stopped, looking visibly shocked. Her eyes flickered between the door she was clearly heading for and me. Then she sighed and shook her head.
