Edward couldn't sleep at all. He tossed and turned in bed, his mind preoccupied with Emily's figure. When he saw her in the hallway earlier, he noticed that she had been drenched in the rain and she didn't look good. She seemed weak and feeble as she timidly lowered her head. Reluctantly, Edward admitted that his heart softened because of that.  He wondered if she would get sick after staying in the rain for two hours.
