Josie's house was far from the market which required Isla and Elaine to walk faster if they wanted to arrive fast and early enough that they would see Josie's mother and greet her while she was still awake.
However, by the time they arrived at the path which would lead them to Josie's house, the lights were already off.
"Are they asleep?"
Isla muttered, but Elaine managed to catch it.
"Well, aunt might be. But Josie should still be awake. But I hope we can at least greet aunt."
