“There you are, “I cried out in surprise, my palm clutching on my chest in an attempt to slow down my quickening heartbeat.
“Go away Peggy,” I said, pulling my attention back to the open biology book on my front. After much debating, I had decided to hit the town’s library, knowing that would be the only place I could find the peace I was looking for. I never thought it was possible for me to ever miss a class but that didn’t worry me as much as I thought it would. The old woman, Mrs. Carter that sat behind the desk had been the only person I had found. She had given me that same curious stare like almost everyone I met but then right after, she had ignored my presence. Unlike some people, she didn’t seem to mind my presence at all.
