Chapter 24: Decision
I woke up to a beeping sound in my ears. Ugh! What is that noise? Can't a girl sleep peacefully for once? I tried opening my eyes, but it was no use. The beeping sound got louder and louder by the minute. I groaned and finally was able to open my eyes. I was in a bed with people walking around. Nurses. Am I in the hospital? What happened? Come to think of it, I don't even remember. "Good, you're awake." Someone said beside me. Turning my head to where the voice came from, a man was smiling down at me. The way he was looking at me almost made me laugh, he looked like a puppy. "You're a nurse?" I asked, trying to keep my composure together. He continued to smile with a confused look on his face. "Why, yes I am," he said. I giggled. "Why am I in the hospital?" I asked him.
