Chapter Fifteen
They decided to walk to Wolfhound Tavern for dinner and beer. Since his was the only house at the end of Toad Lane, part of the walk was just them until they neared the sports field at the corner of Dragonfly Road. A soccer game was in full swing, though it looked to be a pickup game, not anything official.
They stopped to watch for a minute and chatted with a dog walker who was also taking in the game. The mostly high school kids were going at it hard, and there were a fair number of people on the sidelines egging them on, but it appeared to be all in good fun.
They turned the corner and crossed the street, and walked past the elementary school.
