THE FOLLOWING MORNING, after he woke, sluggish from yet another nightmare, Rafferty thought his spirit could sink no further. But then he recalled the day’s duties and almost pulled the duvet back over his head. But he forced himself out. On arrival at the station Rafferty briskly informed Llewellyn they were both to make another visit to the agency.
