Angel of Death

The Sterling family villa could be the most dazzling villa in the capital tonight. The place was bustling. People gathered, chatting, and fawning. The Sterling family was on the rise right now and even celebrities didn’t miss this opportunity. The hypocrites gathered together. Even the Esperanza family. Old Master Esperanza came, preparing an extremely valuable and artistic ancient carving to please the Sterling family leader. In the end, everyone came just to fawn. Damian walked calmly. A white coffin was on his shoulder. The coffin weighed at least 200 pounds and the man didn’t seem to have any trouble at all. Damian chuckled, standing at the wide open entrance of the villa. His appearance was very eye-catching tonight, a black robe and a black scary mask typical of the grim reaper. Damian roughly put the coffin off his shoulder, making a loud thud that attracted the attention of the people who were enjoying the party. “Happy birthday, Old Master Sterling.” The man chuckled softly. Old Master Sterling almost died of anger. The man pointed at Damian with his cane. “What are you doing?” “I gave you a present.” Damian replied happily. The man even chuckled loudly. “I’m afraid this might be your last birthday, old man. Haven’t you been in the world for too long? This world is too small and you only exist to fill it.” “Who are you?” Old Master Sterling shouted angrily. He glanced at the guard with his eyes wide open. “What are you waiting for? Take off his mask and drag him before me!” Damian grinned behind the mask. “I am the grim reaper who came to pick you up.” The man replied, immediately turning around, avoiding all attacks by the guards. He then moved quickly behind one of the guards, kicking him until he fell. Immediately, the guards fell, unable to even get up again. Damian chuckled again, his voice sounded so intimidating among the very silent room. Even the man’s heavy footsteps could be heard echoing behind the silence. Old Master Sterling widened his eyes, the old man was about to turn around, about to run away. But Damian was obviously faster, immediately, the man grabbed Old Master Sterling’s neck, strangled him and then lifted the old man’s body high. “Let go of the family head!” “Bastard, how dare you strangle Old Master Sterling?” “Let go of my father!” Damian turned around, staring at the Sterling family members who continued to chatter. “Stay where you are before I break this old man’s neck.” Immediately, the crowd fell silent, no longer daring to make any rash actions. Damian grinned, he lowered the Sterling Family Head slightly, whispered in the old man’s ear. “Hey, do you remember me?” The old man coughed, his face turned pale, with difficulty shaking his head. “Who are you? Let go, let me go!” “I am the victim you killed 10 years ago. I came out of hell to bring you back with me.” Damian smiled in satisfaction. Staring at Old Master Sterling’s increasingly pale face, looking at Damian with a look of horror. “Why? Are you afraid?” “You—“ Old Master Sterling screamed, but before the old man could continue his words, Damian had already tightened his grip, immediately crushing the neck of the figure in his hand, killing him quickly. “Ah.” Damian threw the body of the head of the Sterling family down in annoyance. “I couldn’t help myself.” The man crouched down, taking out a dagger from under the robe he was wearing. Slowly slicing the neck of Old Master Sterling’s corpse, then with slow movements began to cut the neck, separating the head from the body. Damian smiled with satisfaction, he raised the head high, making sure all the invited guests present could see it well. Then with calm steps Damian turned around, leaving the Sterling family villa. The night was so dark, the Anderson mansion was not far from Sterling’s villa so Damian soon arrived at his family’s villa. The man lowered his head, knelt down at the graves of his parents, placing Old Master Sterling’s head between them. “Father, mother, I have finished off the mastermind. I hope you stay calm there. Don’t worry, I will avenge all your revenge and bring back our family’s property.” *** The Sterling family villa was in chaos, the party had to turn into a funeral. The beautiful music was replaced by mourning. Teresa knelt beside her father’s coffin. Her father even lost his head at the end of his life. The woman cried, her body shaking with fear. The other family members also knelt, crying so heartbreakingly. Teresa grabbed her cellphone, calling her older brother who was currently active in the military. “What’s wrong Tere?” “Lucas.” Teresa cried again. “Dad is dead.” “What happened? Isn’t today a party to celebrate Dad’s birthday?” Lucas asked in surprise. “Calm down Tere, don’t be afraid. Tell me what happened.” “I’ve sent you the surveillance camera footage. You can see it.” Teresa immediately answered softly. The woman was silent, waiting for Lucas to check the video file she sent. “Tere, did you hear what the angel of death said? He whispered something to Dad before strangling Dad to death.” Teresa frowned. “He said that he was a victim of the incident 10 years ago who came to seek revenge, yes he said something like that.” There was silence for a few moments before Lucas spoke again. “He is most likely the last remaining member of the Anderson family. He survived the fire and is trying to get revenge on the people who wiped out his family.” “What? How is that possible?” Teresa bit her lip hard. She then shifted to biting her fingernails in panic. “What should I do now brother? Who is he? He might come to kill me later.” “Calm down Tere. Now you better investigate all the victims of the fire. I’m sure one of the rats must have managed to escape from the incident.”
