HERMIONE'S POV
“Elizabeth still hasn't come back?” My brows raised as I looked at Megan, who was the one who helped me with the documents since Elizabeth was still absent.
Megan nodded her head solemnly. “I don't know what had happened to her either, but it had been almost three weeks since the last time that I saw her.” She sighed heavily, “and she just said that she would be away to investigate the person who wanted to harm you but up until now... she hasn't gone back.”
Hearing this, I couldn't help but frown. “Did something happen to her?”
Megan shrugged her shoulders. “I don't know, but... Denver, well... her mate, was also with her, so if something happened to them, for sure, Denver would protect her.”
I nodded my head and couldn't help but recall Denver. “Well, it seemed so.”
