“Whoever it was had been here awhile, masking their scent, I’m sure of it,” Xavier bit out later that night. “Pervert. I would’ve picked up on it sooner but the chlorine was messing with my sense of smell. It was sage, it’s normally used to mask a wolf’s smell. After Rose was kidnapped last year, I taught my wolf to be able to smell it out. I can pick up on it if someone is using sage. I was distracted but I noticed it because the person started moving away. I heard movement and then I noticed the smell of sage, which was getting fainter.”
“So whoever this peeping Tom was, had been watching us and when he started to move away, the smell of sage began to decrease,” Lana reasoned.
