The Replaced Bride : 1 Replaced... I was replaced.. to be the Wife of a devil. Sitting in the dressing room, I had nothing to think of while I stared at the dress in front of me. Placed nicely on the bed along with a veil that could cover the features of my face. Marriage.. I thought it would be my prince taking me away from the hell I am living in. but.. Looks like it was never bound to happen. Tears running down my cheeks was not what seemed to bother me. After all, I'm getting married. Hugging my knees, the red print on my cheek was bright and could terrify whoever walked in. Thunder storms roared as I sobbed quietly. Three hours left for me to breathe. Who knows what my position will be after I marry someone without knowing what he looks like? No one. As the cold breeze had engulfed my trembling body, my lips pressed together. The loud sobs soon echoed aloud. In the empty house I sat in, no one's presence had been heard by my ears. Hearing the cars driving into the mansion, I knew this was going to be my last day. Hugging myself tighter to give enough courage to face the situation I'm going to be the culprit in. I wiped away the tears from my face, and my fingertips took a grasp of the towel. Standing up on my feet, leaving a print of blood on the floor, my head hung aside. No emotion was held as the door was shut closed by myself. As the cold water ran down her body, the water mixed with blood slowly drained into the sink. All over the floor the blood was, but still she felt nothing that could get a whimper out of her trembling lips. As her hands rubbed her neck, tears mixed with the water under her eyes before she closed them. The memories flooded back like sea waves bursting out the borders. "I don't want to!" Slap! Stuck on the spot, her lips trembled as she felt his hand balling into a fist. Shoulders quivering, she closed her eyes before she felt his hand rising, but then the door was busted open by a woman. Eyes softening, she ran to her. her knees on the floor, Ari held her mother's legs with her eyes desperately pleading for her not to do this to her. Her mother's eyes held a cold gaze as she gaped at him. "Honey, take care of the preparations. I know how to convince a witch like her." Ari's eyes widened before her mother's hand gripped her hair. As she pulled Ari to stand up, she was thrown on the bed. As she felt another slap, Mrs. Kim's [Mother] hand took hold of her cheeks within the nails of her thumb and, index, dug into Ari's skin with no concern. "You w***e, listen before I end you right here." Eyes into hers, Mrs. Kim's words had her eyes clutched close within the sobs that loudened in the fear that started to engulf her as a whole. "You heard me! shut your filthy mouth and put your ears to use!" Another slap on her cheek was tight and louder as Ari's sobs quietened within Mrs. Kim pulled her cheeks to make her look into her eyes. "You are going to do as we say, No Objections. No Exceptions" she glared through her eyelashes as Ari's body started to tremble. "If we say so, do marriage,". Eyes dropped down in fear as she panicked under her grip before her grip on the cheeks tightened, making her yelp. "I-I d-do" Tears slipped out Ari's eyes as she said, feeling her mother getting closer. "If we even tell you to take all the men here at once like a w***e you are," Eyes closed as she spoke. The filthy words started to echo repeatedly as her hands clutched close her own ears within a scream leaving her lips. Her body quivered, and a whimper left her lips as she tried to move away. But then, a slap against her pale cheek had her hands covered in front before her mother's fingers tangled in her hair. "You do!" she stated as she pushed Ari with a harsh grip. As she felt her body not being able to move, tears streamed down her cheeks. "I'm sure you don't want to be sold. Behave well." As the door slammed close, the maid placed the dress on the bed. As she walked out before the door was locked, her eyes closed with her knees against her chest. Hugging her knees, she cried out aloud. Pulling up the straps, Ari tied the lace behind tighter, making my back arch. The rainy forest through my window had my lips leave a sigh while her hands pulled up her wet hair into a bun. An exhale, her hands rubbed her arms, feeling the cold breeze shivering her feet on the floor. As she took the perfume, her eyes closed before she sprayed it against her neck. the glistening skin of hers shined due to thunder that stormed out in the sky. Flinching before sighing deep, she patted her chest to calm herself down. As she looked at her reflection, nothing looked as if she was getting married. It's still not believable that her dreams shattered just like that. Closing her eyes, she looked away as the scar on her cleavage made her eyes teary again. A loud creak along with her door gently being opened, the makeup artist entered before her eyes dropped upon the bride who stood there. As she looked over her shoulder, the Makeup Artist's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, You look so beautiful, lady" she said with a gentle smile as Ari realized that she was none other than the makeup Artist. Wiping away the tears in an instant, she tried to turn around when she felt her shoulders being held. Making her sit in front of the mirror, the makeup artist caressed her wet hair. "mm, so smooth, you don't need any serum," she smiled as Ari looked away. "Shall we start then?" Ari nodded hesitantly as the makeup artist chuckled. As she took a hold of her hair strands, she took out the makeup accessories. As time passed by, Ari sat there, in front of the mirror, watching herself turn into something she never expected to suit her. She looked different and for sure not in a bad way either. Well braided strands were tied along with the well tied bun. The front strands of her hair were on the sides of her face while she gazed at her face which had a light makeup on. Tinted blush made her look more and more stunning than she already is. Keeping the strands behind her air, she blinked while her eyes trailed around her face before they ended up landing upon her scar. Looking at the makeup artist’s back hesitantly, she spoke out with her lowering voice. “C-can i have a second?” As she turned her head around, a small smile spreaded on her lips. “Sure” As she said, she walked out politely, closing the door after. Looking at the desk, her eyes found the foundation. Sighing aloud, she reached to take it before spraying some on the back of her hand. Taking the small sponge, her eyes glanced up at the scar. Patting onto the scar, she hissed as it started to burn due to the coldness of the foundation. As she continued to hide her scars, the rain poured more heavily within the cars that drove through the gates of the mansion. Walking into the mansion, His eyes were sharp but softening as soon as he watched her stand there. Steps eager but then slowed down as soon as he caught his dad standing there with his eyes shooting glares to the woman he was going to marry. Looking away, his smile was wide all of a sudden. Her pale hands clutching her gown as she stood there. With her hand wrapped around her father’s arm. “Oh My God! Look at her, she looks so feminine” the comments she received had his heart beat skip beats. It’s not something new for him but watching her being his one and only and her so soon being called as Mrs. Jae-un got his heart beat drop down just like that. Feeling himself eagerly waiting to have her as his lost control as he stepped onto the stage. Watching her stand in front of him wearing a wedding dress where the dress got the stunning look because of her wearing it, he smiled. A smile as he watched her head turn away under the veil she wore. A deep inhale, he looked over at his mom who smiled bright within giggle escaping. “Jae-un! Groom should never be late, i told you” As his mom gave a death glare mumbling the words in a kind tone, Jae-un bowed politely. “Sorry, mom. I had to take care of-” “Ah it’s fine Mrs. Park! However, Even Ari had hard time getting ready” His eyes narrowed within his voice turning cold before he turned his gaze to Mrs. Kim as Mr. Kim’s eyes widened across the hall. “Ari?” Bride’s hands slowly raised to rub her arms in the nervous tense she started to feel before Mrs. Kim let out a nervous laugh. “I-I meant A-Ari getting Yae-ri ready, haha” Mr. Kim sighed as he turned his head to the guests again making them continue their conversations all along. “Ah.. I see” he laughed before looking at the bride. As he was about to hold her hand, the priest walken forward with a book in his hand. “Groom, do you take the bride to be your wife?” As her hand was kept in his, his eyes averted up. Her other hand tightening into a fist behind was visible to his eyes as he softly frowned, confused by her actions before he found her skin cold. Smiling breathily, he held her fist softly before looking at her covered face. Eyes blinked as he spoke aloud, “I do” he spoke as gasps from the guests made Mrs. Kim wiped the sweat off her forehead before gulping. Standing down the stage, she smiled at Mrs. Park as she scooted closer. “Thank god, you didn’t invite her.” Mrs. Kim gulped before chuckling. “Haha, W-Who?” Mrs. Park smiled looking at the bride who stood there. “Of course your young daughter, Ari. It would have been too humiliating.” Mrs. Kim’s eyes balled out as she nervously laughed within Mrs. Park laughing along. “Bride, Do you take the Groom, Park Jae-un, as your husband?” Jae-un’s hand clutched her pale ones as she looked up under the veil. As she bit her lip before leaving out a “i do” The officiant frowned looking at her. “Can you say it louder?” Jae-un frowned as he looked away. Eyes blinking as he recalled what the officiant spoke. Bride, Do you take the Groom, Park Jae-un, as your husband?.. Groom, Jae-un… Why is not her name mentioned when he has asked my vows? “I-i d-do” she spoke as her hand in his was soon replaced by the table in front. Two rings, his eyes glanced up from it. Noticing her red lips under the thick laced veil, his eyes narrowed in a soft frown before he took the ring. As he pushed in the ring on her finger, his fingers caressed it after. Smiling as she took hers, he noticed how her hands trembled. Holding them with his gentle grip, he led her hand closer to his. “Hey, Don’t be shy, you are making us laugh here” A giggle left Mrs. Park’s lips as soon as he said. As Mrs. Kim laughed along, Mr. Kim glared at her in tense. Lips trembling while her eyes getting teary, the ring between her fingers shook within her trembling hands. Feeling his fingers caressing the pulsing out nerves against her wrist, her eyes blinked feeling his warmth making her cold skin get chills in an instant. As she placed the ring on his finger gently, he smiled. The warm smile on his face made her eyes soften within the tears that were controlling the urge to burst out. Lips trembling as the officiant officially announced them as wife and husband within a soft laugh leaving his lips. He looked like a gentleman, happy to marry the love of his life which made her knees weaken in regret but she didn’t realize she had no choice in her life to re-write this situation. As his hand wrapped around her waist tensed up her body, his light grip on the veil’s corners had her heart skip the best in an instant before the heart seemed to stop beating. Pulling up over her head, her eyes clutched close feeling the cold wind brushing the hair strands onto her face. Bright face of her had made him blink for a second before his smile slowly ended up with a thin line. A step away, the guests around stopped cheering as Jae-un’s angry expression started to create murmurs around. As his eyes shot towards Mrs. Kim, a dry gulp took place in her throat as she looked away. Her eyes admired him. His eyes, the clean shaved, no beard. He looked like no prince she dreamt of but his aura had her heart beat skip a beat as soon as his eyes met hers. Not the kind eyes he had when he didn’t see her face. Ruthless he was, arrogance was visible in the eyes of his. The veiny hands of his had shown the nerves which were popping out. As much as healthy, his hands, which were pale, seemed like he had skipped a lot of meals to reach where he is standing right now, on top of the world. “You may kiss the bride now” Kiss? He looks like a beast, ready to rip me apart.
