Chapter 5
Aurelius sat across from Dylan in the private dining room of the restaurant. It should be wonderful, but he couldn’t help the stiffness that had been overwhelming him since they arrived. He’d never been self-conscious about his age before, but it was obvious to him that he didn’t know how to properly date someone from the current era. He knew, from watching movies, that people in this day and age would generally have a romantic dinner for two and then watch a movie together. It seemed easy enough when they did it in the movies, but reality was different. He didn’t want to bungle up their first date. Unfortunately, the harder he tried to lighten up, the more stilted his words became.
