Chapter 9:

1550 Words
Jeremy's POV ... "By the power vested in me as a priest and the court's official registrar of this ceremony, I now pronounce you husband and wife. "You may now kiss your bride." The priest said and paused. I turned to look at him, my gaze was intensely reprimanding. The older man frowned, looking confused obviously not knowing what he'd done wrong. I know I will not be kissing whatever is standing Infront of me ever. I do have a type when it comes to women, and she is so far from it, I wonder how she lives in her body. Stupid b*tch. "Do you have the marriage certificate or not?" I asked him rudely. He was definitely stupid for suggesting that I kiss the frog Infront of me. He quickly raised his hand and called his assistant, who came running with the document to be signed. " Show me where and where I need to sign." I demanded. He nodded and said " please sign here and here and here." I signed " Is there anything else?" I asked "Your parents need to sign as ..." I didn't wait for him to finish his sentence before turning and walking away from him and everyone at the stupid ceremony. I left her standing there in front of the priest. The sight of her had become sickening to me, I couldn't stand her a moment longer. I shook my head as I walked away, she looked positively foolish in that white dress, what does she think this is? A proper wedding? I snorted in indignation. At least now that it's all done mother would be inclined to tell me why father made me do this. I quickly went to my room changed into a pair deep of jeans, a nice sleeveless tee shirt and a bomber jacket to go with it. I took my phone and car keys and left then Harvey estate. This is freaking Lyndoria, where the poor is the poor and the rich is the rich. I huffed angrily as I walked into the garage. All my anger at my parents vanished at the sight of my car. Yesterday, father had gifted me a limited edition fire red Ferrari. It was also an apology for making me marry that twerp. I had always wondered why they hadn't given me a car of my own since I got my licence to drive at sixteen. I was only allowed to drive myself to school twice a week in an SUV. While my friends had sexy sports cars. Everyone wondered why I didn't drive any of my father's luxury cars. I sometimes drive my mother's sexy white Lamborghini Aventador, and I did give them a lot of stick for not getting me something like that. But this, this all makes up for the past two years and the marrying the girl. Gosh, I could get hard just starting at the car. The guys are going to be so sick with jealousy and envy when they see this. Ofcourse, I can't wait to show them. Only Elyon knows dad got me a car. He doesn't even know what the kind or type. I didn't have a party yesterday, which was another odd thing. But mother had planned one for me tonight at the seven star Grand Lyndorian hotel. It's an amazing place to host my birthday party and my parents had more than made it up to me for stomping on my plans and making me get married. I sighed happily as the car purred to life and drove off to my party. I have a circle of friends that I have cultivated over the years, they are friends that I trust. About eight of them, ofcourse they are all from families at my level. There really is no level above ours, except for the first Lyndorian family. But no one knows of they are still alive or in existence, no one cares really. I park my car and the boys whistle. "Oh my freaking God,they got you this?" Elyon asked in disbelief. His eyes shining with excitement. "This is definitely worth the wait." He added. "Your parent are super super cool." Another friend gushed. Woohoow, I can't believe it, this is my dream car." "Yeah we know, it's a poster on your bedroom wall, and you rarely shut up about it." Elyon said "Bro, with this sick baby, no p***y will be unattainable for you." Farke gushed , while his twin brother Falke, tried to get into the car. "Don't you dare." I warned him in a deadly tone. It was clear that I was ready to get violent over my car, so he relented. Everyone gathered around the car, gushing and admiring my automobile. This went on for a few minutes. Before everyone started taking pictures and posting on the school group. We finally had to go inside to join the others already partying in the lounge, before everyone decides to come out, to check out my car. **** Mira's pov... I watched him walk away from me like I was some plague. A disease that he can't stand. And before you ask, there was no ring, nothing to indicate that this happened except for the marriage certificate, pre nup and the contract. The priest gave me a sympathetic look. "Alright let's sign the damn thing and get back to our homes." Mr. James announced. I signed the marriage certificate, Jeremy's parents signed, before mother and father signed as a witnesses. It was time to go home. " Where are you going? Jeremy's mother asked as I made to go back with my family. "Back home ma'am." I said respectfully. But my respect was obviously useless, as I saw anger flash in her eyes, before she said. "You don't live there anymore, You live here now." " Oh." I heard mother say before explaining to my mother inlaw that I need to go pack my things and return. " Well then hurry up and get back, you don't have all day." She snapped at me with disgust in her eyes. We were driven back home. I was alone in the car this time, because Zoe's boyfriend sent a car to come pick her up. They had a date. Their love is real and true, they are the kind of couple, one would describe as childhood sweethearts. So it was just me and my birthgivers. The cars slowed to a stop and I got out quickly, to pack my things. The last thing I want is to further annoy Jeremy's mother. My parents didn't bother with me as usual they were most likely in their favorite spot in the house. The nice patio attached to the dinning room. My parents have always loved luxury they can't afford. I set about my task of packing and was done in an hour. I don't have a lot of things, my clothes were hand me downs from Zoe or things she snuck into her shopping cart for me. If I tell mother that Zoe's clothes are too tight for me, she'll go into a lecture about my weight and my looks. My celebrity look alike is Hailee Steinfeld, but I'm not so sure, only Zoe did that on her own dime. She had downloaded an app that tells your celebrity look alike from various pictures of your face. But then Hailee is a celeb, I am nothing. No one. I begin to drag the heavy boxes down the stairs, there is just two of them. One big sized one a medium sized one. I dropped the big one at the bottom of the stairs and went back to get the other. Halfway through the stairs, my parents walk in and watch me till I reach the bottom. "All packed?" My father asked. "Yes I confirm." With a tight smile that came out as a wince instead. I wanted to seem nice, they at least came to say goodbye. Mother huffed and said. "Mira open the bags, I need to check what you've packed, you know to ensure you have taken anything that isn't yours." She said and my heart literarily stopped for a million second. What. In. The. Heavens, did she just say? I physically staggered back a little It was like she had slapped me hard on the face. " You think I steal? That I'll steal something from you?" I asked in a high pitched tone. I couldn't manage to hide the hurt from my face, I just couldn't. Not this time. Even though I should be used to it. " Oh silly, not from me, I locked away all my valuable jewelry, once it became clear you were leaving. It's your sisters things I don't want you to take. And Mira dear, there's no need to be all defensive and emotional, we are your family, we all know you like to steal, especially from your sister. Now, open up the box, let's take a look." She said. My eyes watered with unshed tears, and despite my best efforts to will it away nothing worked. Bending at the waist to open the box also didn't help. The tears fell. They slipped down my cheeks as I unzipped the boxes for her inspection.
