Everything around me blooms like spring. I felt so light within myself and as I took a step inside the classroom I saw Betty straight away.

"One for you," I said, giving her the purple yam jam that Auntie Felicita made.
"Wow, thank you!" she said and she put it inside her bag.

I looked around trying to find Wade but he was not there yet. Then I saw Virgil stepping inside the classroom with his widest smile at me. He sat down beside me and put his bag on the back of the chair that was in front of him. I grabbed a bottle of jam and gave it to him.

"Thank you and I always love Auntie Felicita jam. This is the time of the year she always makes them," he said.
