THE MEETING

FOUR YEAR AGO

"Congratulations" Lian's mom wished as she hugged him, it was the day of his graduation.

" thanks mom, I didn't expect you to come " Lian said as he pulled away from the hugged,

" why wouldn't I come, my only son is graduation from college, am I not suppose to be here ?" she asked with a smile on her face

" that's not what I meant, dad is sick and in the hospital, but you came, I'm happy" he reached out for his mother's hands, she could tell that her son was getting emotional and she didn't want that.

" your dad is fine Lian don't worry about he, Lay's taking good Care of him besides he wanted me to be here with you to celebrate your special day" she felt the pain in Lian eyes he really wanted his dad to be here.

" you are so emotional how does Nicolas cope with you " they both burst into laughter

" Speaking of Nicolas, where is he? I haven't seen him" she turned to the sea of people present to see if she could spot him but couldn't.

Nicolas was Lian's best friend since childhood, he had known him even before he knew how to talk, they've been inseparable most time the were mistaken for brothers rather than friends.

" I'm not sure where he is"Lian replied as he scratch his head trying to think,

" well don't just stand there go look for him I want a picture with both my sons" she knew Lian's response to her statement which made her smile..

" mom I am your only son"Lian replied pouting,

" you've not changed, you're no more in highschool anymore, go look for him" she answered with a giggle.

" fine I'm going but go and get a sit first okay " he lead his mother inside the hall.

" alright now go look for him would you" Lian nodded his head as he walked out of the hall.

he brought out his phone and dialed Nick's number , the phone rang a few times without Nick answering the phone.

" where on earth is he" Lian asked himself as he walked into the sea of people, he got to the entrance of that block but no sign of Nicolas,his phone beep he got a message for Nick,

* you called ? *

* yes, mom is asking to meet you, where now earth are you *

* bathroom, I spilled orange juice on myself, where are you I'll come meet you*

* entrance of the block *

*Kk I'll be there in a minute*

With that Lian placed his phone back into the pocket on his trousers, he turned to walk back to the hall but he bumped into something and there was a sound of items falling to the ground,

" Sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking" he apologize as he tried to gain his balance,

" No problem, I was also distracted so we're equally at fault " the stranger replied as he bent over to pick his stuffs

Lian also helped to clean up the mess that was made, he reached for the last item and lifted his head and he saw the most beautiful man he had ever seen, his eyes were chocolate brown, his eyebrows were neatly placed on his face, his lips were rose pink in color , his nose sat well on his face and was pointed, his hair was colored black, he also had a smile on his face with bought Lian's attention to the dimples on his cheeks which made he more good looking, from his body structure you could tell he walked out, he could also tell that the man in front of him was a bit younger than him.

" Thanks for your help Mr ...... he raised his eyebrows trying to get Lian to tell him his name,

" umm, L I ..a..n. I mean Lian, Lian Brock," he suttered, as he tried to avoid stare too much

" nice to meet you Lian, I'm Cobi Greber, I hope you enjoy your graduation party"

" thank you I will " Lian replied trying to breath in a steady pace

" sure see you around then Lian Brock" with that Cobi left, leaving Lian lost thinking about every feature of the man he just meet,

" Lian! Lian!! Lian!!! " the call bought Lian back.

" who was that" Nick asked with a mischievous smile on his face

" Oh nobody, just someone I bumped into" Lian said trying to end the topic but he knew his best friend, he wouldn't drop it.

" hmm, then why do you have that crazy look in your eye then" Nick raised his eye brow,

" what look, you're just seeing things, let's go mom is waiting" Lian walked away from Nick.

" why are you avoiding the topic" Nick laughed at his friend's reaction.

Lian was so nervous because he was suppose to give a speech for the ceremony,

" you can do it man, go up there and give the best speech ever" nick patted him on the shoulder.

" let's welcome one of the best students Lian Brock for his opening speech, everyone applauded.

He gathered all his courage and walked up

its an honor to be in front of you all to open this ceremony, most of us here only dreamt about this day, years turned into months, month turned into weeks, weeks turned into days and the days turned into hours and hours to minutes, yes we made it, looking back all our sacrifices and hard work were worth it.

As we go into the world to practice our different careers, let's be reminded of who we are, what we want and how we got here.

This day will not be complete if we don't honor the most important people, and that is our parents and guardian who has supported us through every step of the way, we promise to make you proud, as we step into the world as men and women of honor and diligence.

Everyone applauded once again and Lian came down and gave his mom a tight huge.

" thank you, I love you" he whispered loud enough for her to hear.

" I love you more" his mom replied with tear running down her face Lian pulled away from the hug.

" look at who's been emotional" he smile at her.

In a few hours the ceremony was over, Lian's mom had already left for home, she couldn't stay till the end but Lian was still very happy that she came.

" I'll go get the car around wait here" Nick collected the keys from Lian and grabbed the items he was holding,

" OK be quick, I'm tired and I want to go home and rest" Lian knew Nick could take forever to get back,

" you can't be tired, we still have the after party to attend and you're coming, no excuses" Nick raised his voice because he was a distance from Lian.

" I can't believe I forgot" Lian whispered to himself, Lian was an indoor person, parties were not his thing but he had to go because this would be the last memory he would have with most of his college friends,

" Nice speech" a familiar voice complimented, Lian turned the direction of the voice there stood the man from before.

" Cobi" he subconsciously called out the name,

" you remember my name that's nice" Cobi said as he to a step closer to Lian

" yes I do, its not that hard to remember"Lian answered as a feeling of shyness washed over him,

" That's nice, I really enjoyed your speech, you're really something"_ this made Lian blush a bit.

" Thank you, I wasn't expecting it to turnout that way" he replied as he played with his fingers

" you're welcome"Cobi watched Lian and observed his gestures which made him smile because he found them cute, there was an awkward silence between them Lian didn't want the conversation to end.

" em, well my friends and I would be going out to celebrate later, I I.. was wondering if you would want to join us?" the word rolled out of his mouth like that of a toddler, he stared at the man in front of him hoping he would say yes..

" sure why not" Cobi answered with a smile Lian was so happy but he had to comport himself,

" really?!, you would come"

" yes I will, where's the place" he smirked, he did expect the shy one to actually ask him.

" Golden Barrie tha..." Lian was interrupted by the Vibration from Cobi's phone

" sorry let me take this" Lian nodded to Cobi's words, Lian eyes wondered into the road to see if Nick was close but he wasn't,

" oh yeah, I'll be there in 15" Cobi hanged up the call and turned toward Lian's direction,

" sorry I have to go, see you bye 10" he winked at Lian before walking off.

Lian began to giggle, he used his hands to cover his face like a little girl who just got the candy she always wanted.

The honk from the car in front of the road just few steps from Lian, bought his eyes to the road,

" where have you been asshole" Lian asked as he opened the door to sit,

" well I didn't want to disturb you and your handsome fellow, so I gave you guys more time, was that bad?"

" you saw that?, I didn't see the car" Lian said as he settled in the car

"yes I did and I also witnessed you blushing like a tomatoes" Nick laughed at his friend's shyness.

" Shut up and drive" Lian turned his head to the opposite side to prevent Nick from see his face,

" yes my tomato lord any thing for you",

" you're so annoying".
