RAINA’S POV
The ringing sound in my head rose from a faint distance until it was a constant buzz, it felt like my brain cells were tearing apart. I ran my hands through my hair, my fingers scraping on my scalp. I held in a scream for I had been gripped by the cold arms of the frightful unknown, I had no idea where I was, darkness was all around me like an endless abyss. I gnashed my warm teeth against each other, seething through them with pain until suddenly…silence.
The ringing ceased abruptly and my eardrums ached badly. I looked around with a deep sigh of relief, my thumping heart made it somewhat difficult for me to breathe.
