It had to be some sort of joke or something.
Alpha Ethel said he would come for me, he cherished me and had showered me with so much love and care, there was no way he would just marry Haisley because I had disappeared for about a month or so.
I looked at the guard blankly and asked, “Were you here by the time I was supposed to be crowned as the Luna?”
He nodded, “I’ve been serving for almost ten years, I was present that day.”
“Okay…” I mumbled with a slight nod of my head, “Okay, how long has it been since then?”
He glanced at the other guards again and frowned in deep thoughts, “About two months now, Lady Raina.” He replied finally and grunts and nods of approval went around the other guards. “Yes, two months or so.”
