ARIAH’S POV
For four days Raina had been gone, which meant for four days, Declan had not been himself.
I found it pretty amusing that she would have such an effect on him when they had only been together for such a short time, it didn’t make much sense. Declan had spent years with me and only over a month with his so-called mate, he wasn’t one that got attached easily. From what I had gathered, the mate bond didn’t necessarily mean you would fall in love with your mate. It was only a source of power to Declan, but he seemed totally overwhelmed by her absence and every night I spent alone, it only infuriated me more.
