Author’s Note:
When I originally wrote The Mountain’s Shadow in the early 2000’s, it was long before the anti-vaccination movement hit the mainstream. As an allied health professional, a Ph.D. with scientific training, and a concerned citizen, I would like to take the opportunity to say that I am fully in support of vaccination. The research that shows it’s harmful has been long-debunked, and vaccinations are necessary to keep our most vulnerable children safe and healthy.
