CHAPTER 2
RACHEL’S POV
“I can’t believe that you met him already. This Scott guy is such a hot guy,” Bella told me after hearing my conversation with Kylie.
“Well, I was jogging one morning in our neighborhood when I met up with him. He had taken his dogs for a run. Well, I had ran out of water thus I borrowed him and he lent it to me. After that, I jogged with him talking about random staff as I headed home. I come to learn that he lives six blocks away from my place,” I explained to them how we really met Scott.
“Wow, that is nice and sweet of him,” Bella said with a puppy face on.
“Does he know about Adam or the other way round?” Kylie was clearly in my case.
“No, I will handle it. Don’t worry. I already know the person I want to be with,” I tattled.
“Let me guess, you want Scott,” Bella jested.
“Of course, he is hotter compared to Adam.” I said with a small smile lighting up my face.
I tried to catch Scott’s attention but it was all in vain. He was at the front of the class while I was at the back of the class with my girls.
Seeing him getting seated next to Angela made me feel so much anger. I really hated that nerd girl. I could feel that she was the type to steal people’s boyfriends and I didn’t want my Scott near her.
I couldn’t wait for math’s class to end so that I could talk sense to her. Good thing is that it finally come to an end and the teacher left the class. Scott followed the teacher maybe to ask for the key to his locker and that is the juncture I took to face Angela.
“I saw you looking at him like you want him,” I said after banging on her table to get her attention.
“I don’t know what you mean,” She said without looking at me.
“Scott is my boyfriend. Don’t ever think that he would want to be with someone like you,” I chuckled after saying this.
She was all of a sudden pissed and she wanted to leave me talking to my self but I blocked her path and pushed her away. Some of her books fell from her hands. I didn’t care. I wanted to show here where she belonged.
“Once again, stay away from Scott,” I warned and I could see tears forming at the slit ends of her yes.
I didn’t care, as long as my point was home.
I walked outside the classroom and good thing, my eyes caught where Scott was standing, by his new locker.
“Hi,” I called from behind and clasped my hands in front of me.
“Oh, hey,” He said and he was so happy to see me.
“I thought you didn’t come to school today. I looked around for you but I couldn’t see you,” He explained.
“Well, I was seated at the back.” I jested.
“Good to see you again Rachel.” He said and I arched my lips upwards at him.
“Thanks. I have already booked a seat for you in the next class. I will be waiting for you.” I told him and went to meet my friends who were waiting for me.
I had lied to both of them. I dated Scott for some time but we drifted apart after a couple of days and now that he is in Liberty High, I hoped that we would get a chance to date once again. I love him. I don’t care about Adam.
“Adam has been looking for you,” Bella told me and I could feel a pit of nerves forming at the pit of my stomach.
The good thing is that the electric bell rang and we had to head back to class for some lessons before we finally go for lunch.
Scott joined me and I was seated next to him. I couldn’t concentrate on the History class. Man, this guy is such a distraction. He is hot and his body is perfect and that is what I have been staring at ever since the class started.
I could also see Kylie looking at him and this pissed me off. I had to write a note to her telling her to keep her eyes off my man. I wanted Scott to myself and I mean that.
Eventually, the class come to an end and we had to go for lunch after this. Scott however excused himself saying that he needed to clear somethings in the principal’s office thus I allowed him to leave.
The girls and I headed to the dining room. We served the food of our choice before we went to our side of the table. We were still eating when Adam and his friend Lee joined us. They thought that we were going to hang out just like the old times but they were wrong. I was already one with Adam.
I ate my food quickly so that Scott could not find me with him but it was all in vain. By the time Scott come to the dining and served his food, the place where I was seated was full and thus he had to share his table with some nerds, Angela, Kevin and the rest of the people like her. This made me feel bad,
The situation become worse when they seemed to get along. They kept on laughing and they seemed to enjoy their time together. It is like, he loved their company more.
Scott joined us in the afternoon Chemistry class. He was my partner in the experiment and after that, I was sure to tell him to meet me in my locker because I was going to take him at the most special place in liberty High.
Good thing is that, Adam is not in the same class as me so he did no see me getting too close with Scott of which it is not a good thing.
After the class, Scott joined me as I had instructed. Bella and Kylie gave me that ample time to be with him on my own. There was no better place to take him other than the Academic square which was now nicknamed kissing square because most of us usually go there to kiss. That I exactly where I wanted to be with Scott.
“I brought you here in this beautiful garden to tell you that I missed you, “I started with my confession. I hoped that he would get it that I was actually telling him my love confession.
“Of course, I missed you too Rachel,” He jested.
“Well, do you know anything about this place that I have brought you?” I asked him.
“I know nothing about this place. Is there something that I should know?” He implored.
“Yeah, there is this rule that when a girl brings you here, you must kiss them and vice versa,” I had to formulate this quickly.
“Really? I get that to be so weird,” He mumbled.
“But it is the truth, kiss me,” I told him closing my eyes. Deep down I was praying that he would not leave me like that.
Just like a message from God Himself, he pulled me to a kiss. I felt his tongue flick tentatively against mine, his hand going round my lower back. No words needed to be exchanged because I was so in love with him.
We pulled immediately when a stone flew close to us. Almost hitting us.
Walking away in anger was Adam. My boyfriend before the summer holidays.
