Body language said a lot. When Brian came into the restaurant, he could see Tristan and an older man standing near the bar. Both men had ramrod straight rigid posture and crossed arms, all defensive. The older man wore an immaculately tailored suit. Tristan had a sport coat and a tie. Tristan had asked Brian to come have lunch and meet his father. The meeting was supposed to smooth the waters before Brian and Tristan got married the following month. Obviously, things were not going as planned. Brian walked slowly toward the pair.
