There weren’t decorations to indicate the vampires were celebrating the holiday, at least not from outside nor the foyer where we were now. “I thought you went after Fangs.” I quickly scanned the familiar hall before turning to Isaac, who helped close the door behind us. His blank stare shifted to me, and although briefly, it drifted to Sebastian carrying my luggage beside me before returning to me. “Oh, yeah. He, uh, slipped away before I could get a hold of him.” Fangs was fast, but shouldn’t Isaac be just as fast? “Then you saw his face too?” I still couldn’t shake that horrifying image from my head, and thinking of it was still just as disturbing. It would be helpful to hear another person admit to also having seen what I did. So I would know I wasn’t losing my mind and what I saw
