Chapter 21
Ruby arrived home that day and felt more relieved than the past few days.
Jaxon's driver had dropped her off and that made her avoid any unnecessary troubles.
She also collected a few foodstuffs from his kitchen which she had used to feed in the evening.
She just retired to bed when she was abruptly woken up by a sound.
She mumbled softly as she yawned sitting up from the bed, wondering where the sound must have come from.
It was the sounds of incoming footsteps.
She quickly climbed off the bed and turned on the torchlight of her phone and she walked slowly to the window to check what it was.
It was just a man dressed in black and it didn't bother too much as her neighbors were fond of loitering around.
That was one disadvantage of living in a busy neighborhood.
