"How's Juan? Did you get all the details about the two girls who are Kylie's friends?" Drake asked.
The man continued to dig for background information on Chloe and Daisy. Although he had previously obtained personal data about the two girls, it was not satisfied because Drake wanted to correct more about both of them. He didn't want his daughter to fall into the enemy's trap, especially now that Kylie was being followed by a suspicious old man. Drake does not want to miss and cause fatal things to happen to his beloved daughter, however, Drake thinks Kylie is not too good at choosing and recognizing people who will do her harm. The proof is that he immediately decided to be friends with Chloe and Daisy, even though he had not known the two people for a long time.
"There is nothing suspicious about the two girls. Miss Daisy comes from a simple family and has never had any dealings with the mafia, let alone knowing one of her enemies. Likewise with Miss Chloe, it's just that the eldest brother of the girl owns a company that is not too big and according to the investigation I did, they are also not involved in any way with the people you have dealt with in the past," Juan replied telling the latest information he got.
Juan also told Drake that there was nothing suspicious about Chloe's two brothers.
Drake could only nod his head. He had gotten the report from his confidant, so there was no need to doubt that Juan was reliable.
"It's just a matter of finding the old man's whereabouts. I don't want him to keep haunting Kylie," Drake said.
"I will continue to find out about that man, sir," said Juan.
The man also felt curious about the whereabouts of the old man who always stalked Kylie and the Adams family confidant was very confident that the man had protection that was not from ordinary people, it seemed that he knew the Adams family very well and had prepared everything very carefully.
"Do your best Juan. I don't want that man to affect Kylie," Drake said.
"Yes, sir. You just relax, I'll do very well," Juan replied, sounding confident that he could solve the problem.
Today Kylie felt that Daisy was a little different. The girl was more silent and seemed to avoid Kylie and Chloe. The curious Kylie tried to ask Chloe, but the slightly tomboyish girl said that she didn't know. She also felt strange about what Daisy was doing today, even though yesterday the girl was still fine. Kylie also told Chloe that it seemed like Daisy was facing problems in her family and made Kylie invite Chloe to find out, so she could help her best friend.
Agreeing with the idea given by Kylie, however, they have become friends should help each other. Chloe also thinks that what Daisy is feeling is none other than financial problems in their family.
"Dai, what's wrong with you?" Kylie asked and immediately put her arm around her best friend's shoulders.
Daisy smiled and shook her head. The girl slowly lowered Kylie's hand that was still on her body, making Kylie and Chloe surprised because Daisy didn't usually do that.
"Just tell us, Dai. What's going on? You're so weird today," Chloe said in response to Daisy's words.
"Nothing," Daisy replied as she stared straight ahead and didn't look at her two friends.
"Don't lie! I can see that you're not okay," Kylie said as she tilted her head to look at Daisy's face.
The simple girl stood up and looked at Kylie.
"I'm sorry, Kyl. I can no longer be friends with you, please just find a new friend. I'm sorry if it's presumptuous of me to say this because you and I are so different. I don't deserve to dream of being your friend," Daisy said, much to Kylie's surprise.
The girl then turned to Chloe. "I'm sorry too Chloe, can't be your friend anymore. Then, I'll excuse myself." Daisy said again then immediately stepped away leaving Kylie and also Chloe who still looked confused by Daisy's sudden words.
They never expected to hear a sentence like that, especially Chloe. Even though they have been friends for a long time, why would Daisy say that? The big question continues to plague Chloe's mind.
Kylie didn't stay silent. She stood up and wanted to catch up with Daisy.
"Daisy wait," Kylie said.
Chloe did the same. The girl followed Kylie, she also wanted to ask Daisy for an explanation.
Daisy didn't seem to hear Kylie's call, the girl just kept walking towards her class.
"Daisy stop or I'll shoot you in the head!" threatened Kylie and managed to make Daisy immediately stop her footsteps.
The girl immediately froze in fear. If she died right now then, what about her parents and brother, while she was the hope of both parents? Daisy chose to obey rather than die in vain at the hands of Drake Adams' youngest daughter, whose family never played by her word.
Not only Daisy, Chloe also looked surprised at the words that came out of Kylie's mouth, making her stop and let Kylie walk first toward Daisy. Some of the students who were there immediately ran scared, even though they didn't know what really happened, but saving themselves was the right choice for them at this time.
Garvin and some of Kylie's men also looked at each other because they hadn't heard the commotion from them before and what was the cause of the threat given by the young lady, especially to her own friend?
Kylie was now in front of Daisy with an angry face.
"What are you talking about?" Kylie asked.
Chloe resumed her steps to get closer to her two friends, afraid that if a fight broke out between them, Daisy would lose.
"I'm sorry, Kyl, but I can no longer be friends with you. Please understand my situation, we're different and very different. Let alone with you, even with Chloe, I feel so embarrassed! I don't want to be seen as someone who takes advantage of the situation," Daisy replied, telling the truth about what she was feeling, although behind it all was the coercion of her parents, at least what she said was true, and hoped to make Kylie understand.
"Don't think about what other people say, we're already friends. Who dares to say that? Tell me, let me and Chloe teach him a lesson," Kylie said as she asked at the end of her sentence. The girl's face showed anger.
"Dai, don't say that. We've been friends all this time, don't mind what other people say. They're all just jealous of you for being friends with Kylie. I am very sure that you are a sincere person, the proof is that I still stay friends with you because of that," Chloe said.
Chloe did not accept Daisy's words because all this time she knew that Daisy was a very sincere person, only other friends could not see that because they were afraid of Viola, which made them not want to be friends with Daisy. If only they all didn't care about Viola's threats, then they wouldn't have missed a friend as good and sincere as Daisy.
"I beg Kyk, Chloe, understand and accept my decision. Please respect me." Daisy said while looking at Kylie and Chloe in turn. "You guys will have better friends than me and more worthy of what you have. Thank you so much for helping me so much that I never get bullied by anyone on this campus again," Daisy said.
The girl emphasized her sentence so that Kylie and Chloe would no longer hold themselves away from the two.
"Once again, I apologize for doing something like this. I hope you can forgive me," Daisy continued and then bowed half of her body in front of the two girls as a sign of apology. She didn't want Drake's youngest daughter to take offense and then take revenge because not only would she be in trouble, but her family would also be harassed by the Adams family if she made her son and daughter feel uncomfortable.
Daisy tried to step away from Kylie and again Kylie held her back.
"Wait Dai, you can't go!" Kylie said making Daisy stop her steps.
"I'm sorry, Kyl," Daisy said.
The girl resumed her steps to get out of Kylie and Chloe's way.
Kylie tried to hold Daisy back but was blocked by the tomboy girl beside her.
Chloe held Kylie's hand to let their friend go.
"Already Kyl, just let her calm down first," Chloe said.
Kylie, who did not accept it, immediately turned her head disapprovingly towards Chloe.
"Why didn't you hold her back? Did you deliberately let her leave and no longer be friends with us?" asked Kylie who began to get angry.
"It's not like that, we can't force Daisy right now either. Being here is very difficult. We have to understand her, not immediately force our will like this," said Chloe trying to explain to Kylie not to immediately pressure her friend.
"But I can't accept her staying away from us," said Kylie, who didn't want to be contradicted by anyone.
"I know but we can't force him, Kyl. It's better to show her that we're really sincere friends and not feel used by Daisy. You don't know how Viola has been treated over the years for insulting Daisy, we don't know how she's been mentally and she must have heard some bad things after she became friends with you," Chloe said sounding mature and hoping that Kylie would understand.
Kylie chose to remain silent and continued to stare at Daisy's departure who had almost disappeared from their sight.
"Just let her be," Chloe said again, also looking at Daisy. The girl understood her friend's position.
"But I never thought of it that way," Kylie said.
Chloe smiled and then the girl again explained that let alone Daisy who was just a child of an ordinary employee, even herself from a business family still did not feel comfortable being friends with Kylie at this time for fear of being considered taking advantage of the girl's presence.
Kylie finally agreed to give Daisy proof if they really sincerely befriended the girl and Kylie also felt that Daisy was sincere in befriending her, she could see from the eyes of a simple girl who had just made many friends after Viola's departure from the campus.
