Where did they even come from?
He was still running towards me, and I was looking around for a way out. How does he know my name?
I ran for shelter, but he kept following me. “Stop running.“
I wasn't even running. I sidestepped two men that were battling out when the man finally caught up with me.
“Lyra, stop.“ He lowered his scarf. I quickly picked up a sword that was laying around, and I held it in front of me as some sort of protection.
“Why should I?“
He unwrapped his scarf. “You don't know me?“
“I don't.“ I squinted at him.
“Look at me very well.“ I didn't drop the sword. It could be a ploy to unarm me.
