LYRA'S POV For the next week or so, I couldn't sleep well. Why? It was simple. The day of my reckoning is finally here. I didn't tell Eric about my struggles because I don't want to see that pity in his eyes whenever we happen to talk about my situation. Two days before the judgment day, he threw a piece of paper in my cell and hurried back. He had folded the papers many times.
