Encounter with a stranger I Elina's eyes flapped open, the first thing she saw was the ceiling, looking ugly to her, with the spider web, glaring at her. Just above her head. Coiling to the side, her head hits the table. Ouch! She whines, having a moue face. She remembered sleeping on the couch but she was now, she was on the floor. And Ray was laying comfortable on the couch. It was Sunday. There was something about the Sunday that doesn't feel right. Standing up, she pick up the bottles from last night. Dumping the three empty bottles on the trash can. And fixing the two other bottles back in the fridge. Sauntering to the kitchen. Making a hangover tea for Ray. Cause he was gonna look like s**t when he wakes up. Then brew a tea for herself. Finally sitting down on the island. Quietly drinking her tea in silence, enjoying the Sunday the best way she can. Her phone rang. Beside her. Lazily she pick up the phone from the table. "Where the hell are you?" "Good morning, Carol. I don't " "Come here, right now!" She was screaming. "Can you stop yelling." "Did you say something Elina!" She screeched. Elina had to pull the phone away from her ear before she completely destroys it. "Bring your lazy ass down here now!" "Today is my off. Carol." "I said now! No more but, except you don't wanna work with here anymore. You've five minutes. Customers are already waiting." She hanged out before she could say the words down her throat. "Agh. That old wench!" Sundays was her only day off. Yet she has to go over to carols. If she was gonna pay extra, she won't mind, wiping the windows and cleaning his toilet. But Carol is as greedy as f**k! Ruining a perfect day that just began with staying at home, stuck herself up in her favorite novel. Eat her favorite cupcakes, watch a movie and finally taking a stroll with her pet. Oh! Hold on. Casey died last week, her pet. Cute little cat. Suffers from hunger strike. Lack of attention and care. That was the first pet she had. The poor thing won't forgive her, never! For what she did. The evening stroll, she's taking herself out. But bossy Carol. Ruin it all. And when she meant five minutes. She wasn't kidding. Running into her room, contemplating if she was gonna bath or not. The weather was kinda cold and she doesn't have a warmer. Then she isn't bathing. You can call it a lame excuse. Darn it! She doesn't care. Throwing the skirt down on her waist. Slide into a ill fitting Jean. Didn't bother changing her shirt, put on her glasses and her purse. All ready for work. "Where're you running to?" Ray hoarse voice asked from the kitchen. He came out holding the hangover tea. "Off to work." "On Sunday, I thought today it's your off." "Am urgently needed at Carols, when you're leaving, just keep the keys under the carpet." "Why keep the key in such an easy spot to figure out. You don't want your house broken into do you?" "Are you planning on rubbing me off my properties." He chuckled. Watching her hurry towards the front door. He stopped her. She twirl around with a glare. "Your hair..." "What about it." "Try and wash them. I'll buy shampoo." She scowl at him. Pull off her slippers and fling them at him. He ducked. Avoiding been hit by her. He laughed. Picking up the slippers. "Am off.." She announced. Slamming the door behind her, but didn't forget to run her hands over her hair. To keep it calm... "I said five minutes." "I don't live at the back of the diner Carol." She didn't dare say it out loud but in a tone only she would hear. "You're fifteen minutes late." "I came as fast as I could." "I can see that." She scoffed. Pulling off the apron on her waist. "Why isn't Barbra. Here?" "She's on leave. Mother's sick." Argh! Not good. She alone At carols, with those annoying customers. And Carol herself, her life was a mess. Settling down in her post. After changing to her uniform. And began attending to customer. She said it from that start. Their was something about the Sunday. "Aren't you gonna attend to me?" Elina rolled her eyes at one of the most annoying customers. Ever. Her mortal enemy. She still can't find what she did wrong, why Ever hates her since high school. If she has a thing for Ray and he doesn't wanna have anything to do with her. It isn't her fault. Is it? Yet she'd to take out her anger on her. Making her stay in high school miserable. That's why she couldn't complete the grade with them, had to transfer to another school when she was already on final year. "Am talking to you, ugly face." "Everett!" Intentionally calling her the names she hate. The only thing she could do was glare at her. Watching her serve the order of a customer. "How dare you?" She wasn't gonna place an order, she was just here for trouble or probably peep if Ray was around. Barbra had been the one who handle her the other time she came. Sticking her face in everyone's business. Taking the tray to the table, that made their orders and didn't see Ever place her feet on her way. Unknowingly, she kick the feet. And she saw herself falling, the tray flying in the air. She struggled to save it, but ended up making it worse, instead of holding it she mistakenly hit it with her hands. Making the two cup of hot coffee. Jolted out of the tray. Ever smiled at her achievements. And watch menacingly at Elina. As she fell. The coffee, spilled on the young man, with a sunglasses, who no one knew was there. "Oh my gawd!" The customer squeals. He jumped out of his sit. The liquid burning into his shirt. "It's really him. " "What's He doing here? " "It's Kenzo brother." Ever stepped forward. But the young man heavy gaze was directly at one person only. "The billionaire's brother." She muttered with total shock. And adjust her dress. Stepping one Elina who was still on the floor. No one had thought they would see someone like him here. What would he be doing here At carols. She had made mention of her life being a mess. Now what, it was a lot more messier . With the commotion in the diner. The hard glare she was getting from the stranger. Definitely she was getting fired! No doubt about that.
