Maria's POV
I woke to my phone's blaring ringing tone. I made sure to set the volume to a maximum in case Papa calls. I reached for it on the nightstand and looked at the caller ID. It's my father calling, which automatically sets my heart rate faster. I looked at the time, and the clock said it was four in the morning. I slept for six hours straight, but I still feel a little sleepy.
" Papa, what is it? Did something happen to Isaiah?" I asked nervously, then ran to my luggage and rummaged inside for my jeans and sweater.
" Maria, you need to come back to the hospital, now. Isaiah woke up a few minutes ago and has been crying, looking for you. We are transferring to a private room directly. Marcus is making the arrangements as we speak. I will message you the room number, okay? Hurry u
