Right or Wrong

Chapter 12 - Present - Alana Alana could hardly imagine how right she was and how her sickness earlier while talking to Zemira was actually the doctors' attempts to revive her when her heart stopped beating. Each of the big shock waves was another strange feeling in her heart before it started to beat again, although everything was useless as her condition didn't improve much after that, and she was still unconscious in the hospital bed... ... Yes, she was entirely right about her condition of being in a coma as Dilara's soul could be anywhere at that moment but in her body... Yet back to Wholwni world in the other Realm, a certain restless young Lion was who disturbed the life of the powerful Oracle of the Twin Moons at that very second while she worked in potions for his Mate. "What do you want with me, Prince Ka'lih?" Honestly, the older woman felt that somehow she should congratulate the patience he seemed to have in the midst of it all; after all, it wasn't something that the Werecats were very well known for... Especially with their Mates... In reality, if their other halves didn't give them any reason why they didn't want to be by their side, they would never leave them alone again, and despite being completely in love, it was a little uncomfortable for some as Zemira remembered her own situation. "... How is she?" As if he were not a tall man of almost two meters, he asked her like a cub. "..." And before saying anything else, the Oracle just sighed, thinking about what was the best answer to that question. ... The truth or the lie... "If we forget the fact that she is still very scared, confused, and lost in the middle of everything, I believe that she is fine." Being a little ironic with him, she finally spoke while working on what she was doing. "But she will probably have some pain in her body soon, seeing that it hadn't moved like this for a long time." "Is there any way I can help her with something?" Not wasting a second, the Lion immediately asked her another question, just wanting his Mate to feel as comfortable as possible, no matter if she really was crazy or not now. "She's not crazy, so don't worry about it." As her arm touched him, Zemira commented after reading his thoughts. "She may not be the Mate that everyone expected for you or the Dilara that the Hesperides imagined she would be when she opened her eyes again. However, she is anything but crazy." Comforting him, she went on to say while none of her words were lies in the end, and even the future ruler of Saram knew that he could trust in them. "But if you really want to help, you can switch place with me." Passing the big wooden spoon to him, anyone could easily see that Zemira was already tired of making this potion that would take a few more hours until being finish. ... And in her defense, prepare that would be much easier for any Werecat, especially a Lion, than her, so she didn't think twice about passing the task to him... "Can I go with you when you take it to her?" Doing everything as she told him, Ka'lih wished that at least, so he could have a chance to meet Dilara without her being afraid of him. And even his usual accessories and tattoos that made his figure more powerful and scary were no longer in his body as he tried to look more simple as possible. "Why not? You are helping me after all." And as easy as that, the Oracle answered him while adding some more things to the potion before going back to cut some more green herb beside him, which the Feline was unable to recognize. "But make sure to don't speak fast if you want to say something to her, or she won't be able to understand you." Sharing a small tip about the spell she had done on Alana earlier before she left the room, Zemira commented, wondering what kind of reaction the young woman would have when discovering that she could understand them now. ... Well, that was only when they spoke slowly for now. However, soon, their language would no longer be a barrier between her and everyone else. * * * "Here. That was your favorite fruit as a child." Passing me a piece of the strange fruit that was pink inside and had a vivid green peel, she commented while Sagira ate the same thing at her side without washing or cutting it, just taking big bites of the fruit as if it were the best thing in the world. "I hope you still liking it." Her voice was calm talking to me, yet I couldn't say the same when she turned to her other daughter, probably talking about the stains that were being made on her pastel lilac dress due to the way she was eating. And probably noticing my concern about making the same mess on the bed or in the almost white nightgown I wore, she handed me a small bowl while saying that I could eat more peacefully with it. ... Being completely right when I felt the juice of the fruit run down the corner of my mouth after my first bite... I had no idea what was the fruits' name, yet I could understand why it was Dilara's favorite one. The flavor was the perfect mixture of honey and lemon that reminded me of my childhood and the days my mother gave me that when I had the flu, bringing back the longing that I felt for my family... I wanted to see them again, even if it was only for one second. But more and more, I believed that it wouldn't be possible as I held back my tears, so I wouldn't worry them as I asked for another piece of this delicious fruit, making Dilara's mother smile with tears in her eyes, probably feeling that it was all almost like a dream for her... A dream that was a pure lie since I wasn't her daughter, and she would probably never find out the truth if Zemira and I never told her about who I truly was.
