Draw to Him

Chapter 14 - Alana Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the silence after they had left me alone to rest a little more. Although I slowly started to appreciate Inina's company too, like Sagira, I couldn't say that I was already comfortable in her presence. So, I was more than thankful when she left with the young girl after she fed me with all these delicious fruits that I still needed to learn the name... And right now, I was almost falling asleep again when I heard someone knock at the door, stabling as I suddenly moved while asking who was there, just to feel through my body and no answer from the other side. ... After all, they wouldn't be able to understand me if I speak so fast... "... Who is there?" Taking a deep breath, I asked again... Slowly this time as I put myself back into a comfortable position, which wasn't very easy since every part of my body hurt. Or better saying, of this body, even the ones that for sure, no one else had thought before that could hurt. ... Or at least, I thought they couldn't... No so badly... But back to what was happening now, seconds after I repeated my question, I saw the door that they closed earlier, despite the unsureness in Inina's face, open again before I heard Zemira's voice. "Well, I see that you already started to learn how to use my little gift to you." With a smirk on her lips, she mentioned as I noticed that she wasn't alone, surprising me even more when I saw who he was. "DOCTOR RODRIGO!?" And without thinking twice, I ended up saying out loud, just to make even the man look at me now while Zemira stared weirdly at me before she looked back at him like she was thinking about something as I realized that it couldn't be him. Perhaps they were very similar to each other, yet it was impossible that they were the same person since this man clearly seemed taller, even if doctor Rodrigo was also pretty tall. ... Besides, he didn't have a lion tattoo on his chest that went up to his shoulder...  And I was more than sure about that since I had seen him shirtless before when he invited me to the pool party at his friend's house. "This is Ka'lih, but clearly, you don't remember him, right?" Leaving me confused, Zemira commented as if I could know who he was, despite his name sound familiar. ... But again, there were so many things that I had learned in the last few hours that it would be shocking if I could memorize everything already... Or at least, it was what I thought until her words about the future of this kingdom came back to me... "Yes... This is Ka'lih, Saram's Prince and your Mate... Dilara." Maybe noticing it on my face right away, she said once more, having a smirk back on her face as she called me with the name of the owner of this body. However, it didn't last long in her lips when he opened his mouth, surprising me with the gentle tone he used to speak as if I were delicate porcelain. "I may leave if you want me to." Slowly, he suggested, making me think that, like doctor Rodrigo, he seemed to be very kind too as I looked better at him now. "... No... You may stay..." And despite being yet unsure about what I should do, I ended up saying to him, putting another smirk in Zemira's face before she came to my side, kneeling in the same place that Sagira was a few minutes ago... "How are you feeling?" No wasting time, she soon asked me while she opened the small container that was in her hands. "As if someone had run over me with a car and then thrown me a few times against a wall." "Well, anyone could expect that when your body had been inactive for so long, and it still amazes me how you didn't wake up like that already the other day." Unlike the man who didn't seem to understand me, Zemira just answered me like that was the most common thing in the world... Leaving me unsure if she was genuinely understanding me or not. ... Yet back in the silence that I was earlier, there didn't seem to have anyone else with me here as she didn't say anything else after that, just focused on applying some kind of lotion in my body, and the Prince... Well, he remained quiet after his first question to me... "Don't worry. I can give you two some time alone after I finish it if you want." Suddenly, out of nowhere, I heard her say to me, even if her mouth was yet closed, shocking me. "Yes, I'm talking in your mind. And you're not wrong, I can read your thoughts too, but only if I touching you, useless we're in my little special space that you already know." "Is she fine?" I probably should be looking like a ghost right now after hearing such statements from her, worrying even him as I heard him ask another question, but this time, toward Zemira. "Yes, she is." And like everything was fine, she answered him with a smile on her face. "She's just shocked by how fast my balsams works." And with the same smile, she mentioned, glancing back at me... Leaving me, once more, scared of her while I wanted so much to pull my hand from hers, but I couldn't. "Now we are done!" A few minutes later, she said when she finished applying the so-called balsams in my legs while I was still a little scared as I remembered that she was also a creature of that world... And that despite everything, she was not as simple as she appeared to be since she could even create her own world with a snap of her fingers. "Here, you need to drink these two elixirs now." However, despite my new distance between us, it didn't stop her from ordering me, passing to me two small things that looked like small test tubes with corks at the edge, closing them. One was relatively easy to drink and almost didn't have any flavor to it, yet the other... It was another story, and despite its pleasant appearance being in a subtle shade of pink like some children's medicines, the taste was terrible, being the worst thing I had ever tasted in my entire life. "Here, drink some water. It will help." During my terrible attempt to stop my desire to vomit that terrible thing, I heard him tell me like an angel in the darkness. A glass of water right in my hand as my eyes met his', and I couldn't explain what happened then... And it was as if they drew me to him as if I had known them all my life... It gave me feelings that I never felt with anyone else, not even with Doctor Rodrigo, that would take me to the Moon and back, despite being hard to explain our relationship. ... And more and more, I started to think about what was going on in my life as thoughts about how I would mind married this man began to run through my mind.
