Luca POV I lie in bed, my mind blank except for fleeting memories of the child. Did I make it home alone or did someone bring me? Sitting up, I massage my temples, straining to recall, but I'm enveloped in a dense fog of forgetfulness. I dread the possibility of having harmed the child; the mere thought leaves me unsettled.
