"Seriously? That wasn't amusing," Gwen scolds me, her shoes clicking on the tiled floors of the supermarket as she trails behind.
Here I am, owner of this supermarket, originally opened for my pack. But since my absence, it seems only humans dare to venture in. What gives them the right? Now I have to politely usher them out.
"What's not funny?" I reply innocently, darting towards the counter at a pace Gwen struggles to match.
"The darkness within you..." She mutters angrily, careful not to let her words reach the lingering humans, who gaze at her with curiosity. "I didn't welcome you back into the pack so you could threaten us whenever you please. You need to control yourself!"
