Ever since Janelle's visit, my mind has been consumed with worry, rendering me unable to focus on my mission to find Hannah. Now, back at my pack, I'm taken aback by the changes—it's like a breath of fresh air amidst the lingering aftermath of the raid, albeit with noticeably fewer faces around.
Moments ago, a smile graced my lips, but now I'm overcome with a wave of distress. Time seems to crawl, mirroring the sluggish rhythm of my own heartbeat.
Caleb's discovery is a stark reality, my worst fears materializing before me.
"You've found him..." My words waver, torn between forming a question or a statement. Janelle, the bearer of this news, must sense my shock, her own emotions undoubtedly a storm within.
