“Go on. What are you waiting for?” Trey swings out of his car, leaving Jesse sitting stock-still in the passenger seat, squinting at the small building with its wide glass panels shining in the sunlight.
“Uh, I think I changed my mind,” he mutters, feeling cold all over.
“Oh no, no way,” Trey says firmly. “This is the chance of a life time. What’s the name of the show again?”
“The Hunter and the Protector, that’s the working title.”
“Right, I’ve heard you practice and I know you’re good. You’ll be great. Come on.”
Jesse takes a deep breath.
“Okay. Sure.”
